It is reported that Swansea City, have made an enquiry for the Leicester City striker Leonardo Ulloa.

In need of a striker

Swansea have already made some significant signings, with Leroy Fer, Mike van der Hoorn, Mark Birighitti all making the move to the Liberty Stadium.

However it does seem that the Swans need to be looking for a striker, with Bafetimbi Gomis set to go on loan, Alberto Paloschi going to Atlanta and Eder heading to Lille.

Ulloa played a big part in Leicester's Premier League success, scoring six goals in 29 matches. However it is reported that he keen to leave the King Power Stadium, and Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins is keen for more strikers.

He said: "It's pretty obvious we need one, maybe two strikers and another player" and believes "three is probably the minimum."

Jenkins continued: "In the next few weeks we will bring some players in" and also "have to make sure we keep the squad we've got" and have "talked a lot about football and we've got a few options in mind."

Missing out on the reunion

The club had been linked with former midfielder Joe Allen, for the majority of the summer.

Allen shone for Wales during Euro 2016, and looked set to resign him, but Allen completed a transfer to Stoke City and Dean Saunders believes it is a disaster for the Swans.

Saunders told BBC Radio Wales Sport: "It is a disaster for Swansea" and added: "Mark Hughes knows him but I am disappointed as a Swansea fan. He is a great player."

He concluded: "Joe is a guy who could potentially have come in as a future captain" and is "certainly a player that could have added to their squad for years" and would have been a "player that they would have got in his prime."

Swansea City will take on Swindon Town at the County Ground on Wednesday, July 27 with kick-off at 7:45pm BST.
