Two Sky Bet Championship teams are keen on taking Manchester United’s James Wilson on loan. The Englishman will not figure into the plans of Jose Mourinho this season, not even being given a squad number. Mourinho told him that he could leave the club on loan.

Both Derby County and Fulham look to take on the young Englishman’s services this season. They have until August 31st to try and get him on loan for a full season since loan deals have to be finalized at the transfer deadline and can not happen during in-season anymore.

Wilson is likely to be the third player sent out on loan followed by Guillermo Varela and Adnan Januzaj; they were loaned out to Eintracht Frankfurt and Sunderland respectively. United also hope that Brazilian youngster Andreas Pereira go out on loan with Middlesbrough interested in United youth product thanks to Aitor Karanka’s relationship with Jose Mourinho dating back to their Real Madrid days.

In need of goalscorers

Both Derby County and Fulham are in need of a main threat in front of goal. Derby’s top striker, Chris Martin, has been bid on by Wolverhampton Wanderers who placed a 6.5 million pound on the striker but was rejected. The Rams have only netted one goal this season so far in the Championship.

Wilson would join a loaded field of strikers should he join Derby, vying for spots against Andreas Weimann, Darren Bent, Johnny Russell, Nick Blackman, and Abdoul Camara to play alongside Martin.

Fulham have netted four goals in their first three games so far this season, so they’re not a team struggling for goals. However, they lack the striker depth that Derby have with only four strikers. They have Cauley Woodrow, Matt Smith, Floyd Ayite, and Sone Aluko.
