Philippe Coutinho starts for Liverpool away at Tottenham Hotspur in Saturday's lunchtime Premier League kick-off after shaking off a hamstring problem.

He missed the mid-week EFL Cup win at Burton Albion with tightness, but travelled with the rest of his teammates to London and is fit enough to make the cut against Mauricio Pochettino's hosts.

The Brazilian, who already has two goals this season after his brace against Arsenal two weeks ago, partners Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino in the Reds' front three.

After sparking debate over his comments about being unhappy playing out of position, Daniel Sturridge - who has regularly played on the right wing this term - drops to the bench despite a brace at Burton.

Further back, Jürgen Klopp hands Joel Matip his Premier League debut for the club after his impressive first showing four days ago. He partners Dejan Lovren in central defence, flanked by James Milner at left-back and Nathaniel Clyne on the right.

Divock Origi makes the bench after recovering from cramp that forced him off late on away at Burton, but Emre Can is not available after sustaining an ankle injury in the same game which is thought to be similar to the ankle problems he has suffered from in the past.

That means that the midfield is the same as the one that took on both Arsenal and Burnley in the league, with Jordan Henderson the deepest of a midfield three also containing attacking midfielders Adam Lallana and Georginio Wijnaldum as part of an attacking line-up.

There is no room in the squad for centre-back Ragnar Klavan, with Lucas Leiva - who excelled in his 45 minutes for Liverpool Under-23s in their win at Arsenal on Friday night - preferred over him.

Joining Lucas, Sturridge and Origi in reserve are midfielders Marko Grujic and Kevin Stewart, left-back Alberto Moreno and back-up goalkeeper Alex Manninger.

The Reds go in search of their second win of the season in their final game before an international break, having lost away to Burnley last time out.

This is also the final of three successive away games before Liverpool host champions Leicester City in their first Anfield fixture next month.
