On Thursday morning, the DFB-Pokal der Frauen draw for the second round was made.

This saw the remaining Frauen-Bundesliga teams given a bye in the first round enter at what is now the last 32 stage.

All the top-tier sides will be playing away this round, in what is and has been a tradition in Germany's cup competition.

Top teams shouldn't face any problems

The tie of the round will put Werder Bremen, who were relegated last season from the top flight, against Turbine Potsdam.

Given that both sides have been in good form early this term, it could be a close encounter.

Turbine aside, most of the Bundesliga teams will be fully confident in making it into the last 16.

1. FC Saarbrücken could prove trick opponents for Bayer Leverkusen, likewise VfL Sindelfingen for TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, but both should have the quality to get through.

The likes of VfL Wolfsburg, Bayern Munich and 1. FFC Frankfurt shouldn't be troubled by their lower tier opposition. After their remarkable victory last time round, minnows TSV Crailsheim have been handed a home tie against SV Weinberg. Another win could mean a date with a Frauen-Bundesliga side in the last 16.
