The WSL is reaching the latter stages of the season now, and plenty of teams still have things to play for. Yeovil will be hoping to go up as Champions but Bristol will be looking to maintain the pressure all the way. Meanwhile Watford, who have seemed destined for bottom spot all season, will be hoping they can still salvage something from what has been another disappointing campaign.

Yeovil face Continental Cup semi-finalists

League leaders Yeovil come into this week's game with a three point advantage over title rivals Bristol in second place, after a current three match unbeaten run. Yeovil still very much remain favourites for the WSL 2 crown, and that's mainly been down to the league high goals they've scored this season, with Sarah Wiltshire being in fantastic form in 2016, scoring 12 in 14 games.

However Yeovil come up against an opposition that they are yet to face this season in the form of London Bees. Their performances this season have been rather indifferent but they could be buoyed by their Continental Cup run that came to a tough end against Birmingham last weekend. The Bees have conceded goals regularly this season, and against a team that find the net on an all too regular basis, they could struggle.

Bristol looking to bounce back from defeat

Bristol City have been there or there abouts all season, but they may just be slipping up at the pivotal moment with defeat to Everton in their last game, another team who are competing for promotion to WSL 1. They still remain in touch with Yeovil at the top, but it will be pivotal that they beat Watford on Saturday, a task which should be relatively straight forward.

The Vixens secured a 2-0 win away from home against the Lady Hornets when they last played earlier in the season when goals from Rosella Ayane and Olivia Fergusson secured the win. Watford sit at the foot of the table, and are staring down the barrell of another bottom placed finish in the WSL unless they can find some late season form. However for a team that have only scored once in their last four games, it will be extremely tough going into their remaining games.

Everton hoping to continue promotion charge

Everton go into their game against Oxford two points off of the promotion places after an excellent 1-0 win over Bristol last time out, and they will be hoping to carry on their excellent run of form that has seen them go five games unbeaten.

Most crucially for Everton, they have a game in hand so all they need to do is win all their remaining fixtures and they are promoted. That will of course be easier said than done but they should have the confidence and the momentum to come up.

For Oxford meanwhile, their form has been pretty abysmal with just one win in their last eight outings, including a 1-0 defeat to this weekend's opponents when a single goal from Emily Hollinshead was enough for the Toffees.

Oxford sit in eighth place, six points above Watford, and this is an away outing which will likely prove to be a tricky encounter, even with bolstering WSL 2 top scorer Ini-Abasi Umotong in their side. Everton  have conceded the least amount of goals in the Division this season though so Umotong could well find it more difficult than usual to find the net.

The remaining fixtures

Millwall Lionesses face a tough encounter against Durham this weekend with both teams at opposite ends of the table. Millwall sit in ninth, where they will be hoping to create a bit more daylight between them and Watford at the bottom.

Meanwhile Durham are currently in fourth place and could well be dark horses for promotion with a game in hand and three points the gap between them and Bristol. It therefore could be a very important result, whichever way it goes, at both the top and bottom of the table.

The final match in WSL 2 this weekend is a mid-table clash between Aston Villa and Sheffield in Sutton. The latter are a point behind Villa and also have two games in hand so a win on Sunday for the visitors would ensure they swapped places in the table.

Villa beat Sheffield earlier in the season when a brace from Katie Wilkinson sealed a 2-1 win. Sheffield will therefore be hoping for revenge as they travel to the Midlands on Sunday.
