After scoring his first goal for Manchester United in the 4-1 thrashing of Leicester City, Paul Pogba says that he hopes to score many more for the club.
Pogba wants to keep on scoring for United
The midfielder has been under lots of pressure since rejoining United in the summer from Juventus for a world-record fee with a number of people saying he should be doing much better.
Pogba, therefore, was pleased to show what he could do against Leicester as he was awarded the man of the match for playing a big part in the win which was the most comprehensive yet under Jose Mourinho.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Pogba said that he was "very happy with the result and his goal" but the Frenchman then went on to joke that he "hopes it's not going to be the last one".
The midfielder went on to say that the team needs to "carry on" from this performance into the next games as they try and get back to where they want to be after a couple of bad performances.
Players were very focused to get the win, says Pogba
Pogba says that the whole team "were very focused" for the game as they knew that it was "going to be difficult" but the team needed to get the win.
The midfielder believes that for the "first four" games of the season "we were good" but then in the two games following that against "City and Watford" the team weren't which lead to losses, so he felt against Leicester "we showed on the pitch a big performance" to get back to winning ways.
The next assignment for the Mourinho's side is a UEFA Europa League game on Thursday night against FC Zorya Luhansk at Old Trafford before they face a home game against Stoke City in the Premier League next Sunday before the international break.
