All the 14 goals from a busy weekend in the Damallsvenskan which saw Linköping claim a huge victory over Rosengård.

Kvarnsveden 3-1 Mallbacken

In the first kick off of match-week 19, Kvarnsvedens welcomed a luckless Mallbackens side to the Ljungbergsplanen, with the visitors without a win since June. The hosts took the advantage on the half hour, Tiffany Weimer set Tabita Chawinga away and the Malawian international raced onto the ball, carrying it into the box. Even with Lee Alexander tearing off of her line to push the ball away from the attacker, Chawinga recovered to calmly fire the ball past the frantic defence and into the open goal.

Luck wasn’t on the side of the visitors and even with bodies in the box no one was quick enough to get to the rebound after Zoe Ness’s free kick cannoned off of the bar and into the box. Elizabeth Addo’s hopeful strike from outside the area just before the hour was enough to make it two for the home side, Alexander left frustrated after failing reach the low shot, the Scot forced to pluck the ball from her net once more ten minutes later after Chawinga nodded in at a corner.

In a move started in Scotland, Ness brought down Alexander’s goal kick before firing it over her shoulder for Madelen Janogy to chase, the pacey Swede left to lob an advancing Adelaide Gay to give the visitors a consolation in another forgettable day at the office.

KIF Örebro 1-3 Kopparbergs/Göteborg

Having taken heart from previous performances, Göteborg finally looked to have found their feet as the took the fight to Örebro at the Behrn Area. After Veronica Perez volleyed a trademark Julia Spetsmark cross over the bar the visitors began to trouble Carola Söberg more and more, Rebecka Blomqvist tested out her reflexes as she forced a reaction save at a whipped free kick.

Although Söberg easily dealt with Adelina Engman’s tame effort from 25 yards there was little she could do when Blomqvist latched onto Pauline Hammarlund’s arced ball, striking it low into the far corner on the half-volley. The hosts restored parity after the interval as Perez’s deep free kick rebounded off of Jennifer Falk’s shoulder when the keeper came to punch clear under pressure.

Unmoved Göteborg, came right back at the hosts and Hammarlund reclaimed the lead just two minutes later, her toe-poke enough to beat Söberg and settle just inside of the post. Influential throughout the 22-year-old made it 3-1 just after the hour as her cross-shot looped over Söberg and clipped the inside of the far post but the keeper had the last laugh, denying Elin Rubensson and Sara Lindén late in the game. With late drama in the game as Melissa Tancredi was unceremoniously dismissed following a bad challenge on Falk who was immediately subbed off.

Kristianstad 1-1 Vittsjö GIK

In a fairly tame affair in south Sweden, Kristianstad and Vittsjö were forced to share the spoils. The away side took the lead in the first-half after Emmi Alanen volleyed Clara Markstedt’s headed ball between Stine Petersen’s legs, the goalkeeper caught cold by the improvised effort left to crash to the ground as she spun to grab at the loose ball as it bounced over the goal line.

The lead was however short-lived as the hosts took just seven minutes to level the match, Mia Carlsson rose well to meet Alice Nilsson’s corner, her looped header enough to beat Katie Fraine as the ball smashed against the underside of the bar and bounced behind the line and Therese Ivarsson blasted the ball clear into the net as the visitors tried to scramble it away from the goalmouth.

In a game of few chances both Elisabet Gunnarsdottir and Thomas Mårtensson will be left frustrated than neither of their teams could capitalise to scoop all three points.

Umeå IK 0-0 Djurgården

Tove Enblom was at her best to keep her clean sheet as Umeå weathered a storm from Djurgården as Emilia Appelqvist, Michelle Wörner, Katrin Schmidt, Mia Jalkerud, Madeleine Stegius, Hanna Lundqvist and Johanna Kaneryd all tried their hand against the 21-year-old keeper who refused to buckle.

Appelqvist came the closest for the visitors as she struck the woodwork in the 70th minute with Enblom well beaten. However, it wasn’t all one-way traffic as Lina Hurtig did her utmost to give the hosts the edge, almost snatching a late winner, Gudbjörg Gunnarsdottir had to be sharp to turn her header around the post in the dying minutes.

Eskilstuna United 2-2 Piteå

The visitors went ahead early in the game after a determined run from June Pedersen, wriggling free of two challenges before looping a cross to the back post, Tempest-Marie Norlin’s point-blank header found its’ way into Emelie Lundberg’s gloves but the keeper was unable stop the ball from crossing the line.

With the hosts spurning chances left and right it was a simple enough finish from Felicia Karlsson to double Piteå’s advantage, Norlin’s angled cross headed right into her path by Petra Andersson, for the attacker to poke home from two yards. From there on out, the hosts dominated the game and finally had something to show for it when Chloe Logarzo firmly nodded the ball into the ground to beat Hilda Carlén from close-range, the assist once again coming from the opposition.

The hosts restored parity just before the break when Annica Svensson flew over her marker to find the back of the net with a bullet header but despite having 18 shots to Piteå’s three remained deadlocked at 2-2.

Linköping 1-0 Rosengård

In a nervous contest at the very top of the table neither team could find their footing in the rain-soaked game, although the visitors started with a real hunger they began to fade away as the hosts shored up their defence.

With the woodwork left shaking at both ends of the pitch, both teams struggled for dominance in the final third, but it was the hosts who took the lead late in the day when Pernille Harder perfectly picked out Kristine Minde with her looped cross, jumping well between the centre back pair, Minde nodded the ball past Zecira Musovic and into the bottom corner.

Watching the title slip form their grasp, Rosengård were frantic and Marta was the one to take the fight to the hosts, as well as lashing a shot against the bar the Brazilian sent too late efforts just wide of Cajsa Andersson right post.
