West Ham United will face a tough test to record back-to-back Premier League victories at the London Stadium, when they host in-form Stoke City on Saturday afternoon.
Back on the rise
It has been a contrasting season to that of the last for West Ham, with them being 10 points worse off this time around, but Slaven Bilic's side seem to be back on the rise in terms of form.
A change of system seems to have proven dividends, going on a four-game unbeaten run before Sunday's clash with Everton, drawing with Middlesbrough and victories over Crystal Palace, Sunderland and over London rivals Chelsea in the EFL Cup.
They were brought back down to earth with a slight bump when they visited Ronald Koeman's side, with two second-half goals from Romelu Lukaku and Ross Barkley giving the Toffees a comfortable 2-0 win. However with their recent form, Bilic will be confident that his side can return to winning ways.
Steadying the ship
Stoke were another side that had a terrible start to the campaign, but Mark Hughes seems to have steadied the Potters, and seem to making a rush up the table.
They have been on the up since the 4-1 defeat to Crystal Palace, with two draws and three victories on the spin since then, continuing their run on Monday when they took on Swansea City.
It was a excellent game at the Bet365 Stadium, with Wilfried Bony opening the scoring three minutes against his former club, before Wayne Routledge's equaliser.
However Alfie Mawson's own goal and another from Bony secured the 3-1 win, and will head to the London Stadium looking for their fourth win on the spin.
Team news
One big absentee for the home side will be defender Winston Reid, the New Zealand international is suspended after picking up five yellow cards. But a hamstring injury would have forced him out without the suspension.
Some good news for Bilic is that he can expected returns from both Diafra Sakho and Andy Carroll after the international break.
Hughes has suffered equally weakening blows, with the Welshman confirming that Xherdan Shaqiri and Geoff Cameron wouldn't be likely to feature against the Hammers.
Shaqiri was forced off in Monday's win with a hamstring strain, while Cameron missed the game completely with a knee injury. It is expected that both Ramadan Sobhi and Charlie Adam will be brought in as replacements.
