Matchday seven of the Division 1 Féminine continued in similar fashion to the previous six weeks - Olympique Lyonnais and Paris Saint-Germain both maintained their unbeaten records, Bordeaux and Guingamp returned to winning ways and there were two postponements with Montpellier-ASPTT Albi and Saint-Etienne-Juvisy failing to take place.

Lyon make it seven from seven

Lyon were handed their seventh successive win of the campaign away to Rodez in the first action of the weekend. The defending champions began their UEFA Women's Champions League preparations in fine fashion with a 5-0 thrashing of Rodez, in which Dzsenifer Marozsán was a prominent feature.

The German midfielder kicked off proceedings inside half an hour at the Stade Paul Lignon Rodez unleashing a low shot from 25 meters to beat Deborah Garcia in the Rodez goal and Marozsán added her second on the stroke of half-time after good work from Eugenie Le Sommer

With emphasis on the last-16 match against Zurich on Wednesday, Lyon rung the changes in the second-half with Amel Majri and Mbock Bathy both replaced after the break.

Gérard Prêcheur' side netted their third and fourth goals in quick succession in the second half. In predictable fashion Ada Hegerberg added her name to the scoresheet in the 56th minute to record her eighth goal in seven matches in the league this season and substitute Camille Abily added the fourth only moments later. Wendie Renard capped Lyon's impressive display slotting home a penalty for number five with virtually the last play of the game.

The European heavyweights will now lay the groundwork in preparation for the visiting FC Zurich in the last 16 of the Champions League on Wednesday.

PSG keep pace with the leaders

Paris Saint Germain maintained pace with the league leaders by defeating Soyaux by two goals to nil at the Stade Léo Lagrange on Sunday. Cristiane grabbed a brace with a goal in each half to secure victory for the Parisians.

PSG had numerous opportunities to open the scoring in the first half but the break through came in the 33rd minute courtesy of Cristiane who calmly slotted home after a defensive error in the Soyaux defence. The Brazil forward grabbed her second in the 66th minute releasing an impressive curling shot from outside the box, which beat the Soyaux keeper to dip under the bar.

Patrice Lair will now look ahead to his side's last-16 clash with BIIK-Kazygurt on Thursday in the Champions League.

Bordeaux move up the table

Bordeaux recorded their second victory of the campaign on Sunday since the opening day of the season with a narrow win over FC Metz. The three points takes them above Rodez into eighth place in the table and back to winning ways after two losses and draw in their previous fixtures.

Bottom of the table Metz are yet to pick up a point so far this campaign and have conceded 23 goals in their opening seven matches. However, the newly promoted outfit put up a stern fight and Bordeaux had to fight a tough battle to leave Stade du Batzenthal with all three points.

As the game drew to a close the opportunity was handed to Bordeaux in the 85th minute after they were awarded a penalty. Maëva Solomon's subsequent spot kick was saved by the Metz keeper but fortunately Margaux Montegut was on hand to slot home the rebound.

Guingamp impressive at home against Marseille

Guingamp delivered a convincing display to put four past Olympique Marseille to preserve their mid-table position. In front of 7945 spectators, Guingamp proved too much for a Marseille side who currently sit second from bottom in the relegation spots and Desire Oparanozie took advantage in the 22nd minute meeting a Faustina Robert corner to head home the opener.

The Bretons capitalised again ten minutes later when Salma Amani struck a sweet right-footed shot into the top corner of Pauline Peyraud-Magnin's goal. And, the captain was in the thick of the action again in the final quarter of the match - Amani pounced in the 85th minute nodding home on the second attempt and she capped a fine performance on the stroke of full-time by completing the hat-trick after another fine assist from Oparanozie.
