Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini is excited to meet some new teammates this summer with a number of new faces expected to be introduced.

Fellaini will be part of the United party who head for America on Sunday as part of the squad's pre-season tour. In the next few weeks, Jose Mourinho's men will face LA Galaxy, Real Salt Lake, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Barcelona across USA.

As well as the tour of America, United face Norwegian side Valerenga in Oslo and Sampdoria in Dublin before facing UEFA Champions League winners, Real Madrid in Macedonia in the UEFA Super Cup.

Jose wants deals done quick

United have already made one signing in Victor Lindelof from Benfica, but deals with Alvaro Morata and Chelsea's Nemanja Matic have also been rumoured to be close.

The squad return to pre-season on Saturday, and Mourinho will no doubt want those deals to be completed in order to give the new players a full tour ahead of the new Premier League campaign.

Fellaini is heading into his fifth season with the Red Devils and feels that the pre-season tour is a fantastic opportunity for new players to bond with the rest of the team. Speaking to Manchester United's official website, he said: "When the new players come it’s good to be together and get to know each other - it’s important."

"We train together every day, sometimes twice, and if the manager gives us an afternoon free we can do some things together. It’s always a good experience for everyone," he added.

It will no doubt be a test for United this year due to the number of games they play before the start of the season, not to mention the quality in opponents, but it's the perfect way for Mourinho and his team to prepare for the season.
