Huddersfield Town chairman Dean Hoyle was the guest for Radio Leeds on a one hour special last week.
The lifelong Town fan was interviewed on the regular monthly feature, and with the Terriers now in the Premier League, there is more interest in the club than ever before.
Personal Highlight
As the Huddersfield defeated Manchester United at the John Smith's Stadium last month in a match that many had only dreamed of happening again, the atmosphere inside the ground was electric.
Seeing the stadium full for home games, and with many supporters travelling to the away games, Dean Hoyle admitted that it made him feel a bit emotional and reflective of how far the club has come.
When asked about his personal highlight so far, Hoyle responded "The reaction of the crowd, to be fair. People talk about the Man United game, which was an amazing dream come true. The response and the way the crowd got us over the line on Saturday, in my time of being a Town fan for many years, and the stadiums we're at now, the way the crowd lifted and got us over that line was incredible."
Expectations
The Chairman was asked about the expectations now that Huddersfield are in the Premier League, and replied with a simple "no expectations."
He also re-iterated what most of the fans have been saying since promotion in May, "like most of us, I went into the Premier League saying, even if it's only for one season, fantastic." He went on to add "when you are there, you have to do everything within your means to stay there."

Garth Crooks
When Garth Crooks picked Rajiv Van La Parra in his Team of the Week after the Dutchman's wonder goal against West Bromwich Albion the pundit was full of praise for the Terriers.
However, one sentiment irked the fans, which was “Huddersfield clearly have the right man at the helm - the question I would pose is: Do they have the right men in the boardroom?” Dean Hoyle was asked about this remark from Crooks and retorted.
"Football is about opinions isn't it, to be fair, and I thought Garth Crooks was rubbish at football," he joked. Hoyle added that Crooks obviously meant for him to get his hand in his pocket and get money out to buy players. "Pundits are there to add a bit of controversy, they get more followers on Twitter. If Garth hadn't of come up with that comment, we wouldn't be talking about Garth now."
Hoyle was also asked about the incident at the West Brom game where missles were thrown at James McClean.
He replied that they never condone violence, that throwing things was wrong and that Huddersfield will probably get a fine for this happening from their supporters. Even with emotions running high, Hoyle pleaded with the fans for no repeat.
When asked about Head of Football David Moss departing the club, the chairman stated "It just didn't work out, it was one of those things that just didn't work out. David worked very hard over the summer with our scouting department and brought some fantastic players to the club. Really good value, and he worked really really hard. I can't go into any more details."
The Chairman went on to say that the Terriers are working on recruiting a replacement and that Head Coach David Wagner will be involved in the process, as they need to trust each other.
January Transfer Window
Regarding January transfer window and any potential spending plans, Hoyle was asked about strikers and other positions in general. "We spent £42.5 million in the summer in about a week. We are realistic as there no funds left. It depends on where we are after the 19th game. We can spend maybe some of next years money if we are in a position where we look safe. If we are not in that position then there is no point spending money. We'll take a view after the 19th game."
The line of questioning reached if they were scouting for people in case Huddersfield Town were certain of being in the Premier League next season and was asked if a striker would be brought in. He replied, "we don't need another striker I can assure you, we have two very good strikers. We know the positions we need to fill and are all over that like a rash"
Hoyle went on to talk about both Laurent Depoitre and Steve Mounié and the latter's injured heel which has now healed so the striker travelled to Benin over the international break, and will be working on getting match fit.
The Chairman was asked if the club could keep Wagner if Town stay up, he replied "Yes, I think we can, he had offers to leave over the summer, a championship club offered 8 times his salary, he stayed. He has proven his ability and will be confident in his performances"
Hoyle cheekily added that it'd take "at least £150m" for Christopher Schindler to be lured away anytime soon after a very strong start to the campaign alongside Mathias Jørgensen.
With the chairman confident that the Head Coach is staying put and no apparent offers so far since the season started, despite there being vacancies and the players giving their all to stay in the top flight, the future is in the hands of the club.
