FT: A convincing win for Spurs in the end. Despite only being one goal ahead at the break the Londoners turned the style on in the second period to seal their place in the fourth round in emphatic style.
(more on the goal) A superb ball from Dele Alli picks out Kane who makes no mistake in dinking the ball over Davies in goal to make it seven. 0-7
(more on the goal) Llorente secured his hat-trick just a matter of seconds after his second. Moura works some space on the left, Llorente poked it home to make it his hat-trick. 0-6
(more on the goal) A stunning ball from Skipp set Llorente up with a simple finish. 0-5
69' Spurs now in total control. It is game over and just a matter of how many Spurs win by now. 0-4
(more on the goal) Son does well to work his way into the box before shooting hard and low past a helpless Scott Davies who for what it is worth has had a solid game. 0-4
(more on the goal) Aurier is on a hat-trick! Another superb assist from Son finds Aurier inside the box and his shot proved too powerful for Davies to stop. 0-3
53' Lucas Moura squanders another attempt on goal and sees his penalty appeal waved away. The Brazilian has stayed down after the collision with Davies, though. 0-2
51' Gilmour came inches away from pulling one back for the home side. Aurier managed to deflect the shot on goal narrowly over the bar to see the attack out for a corner. 0-2
(more on the goal) Son worked his way down the right side before pulling the ball back to Llorente who was left with an open goal to aim at and made no mistake with his finish despite the bobbly pitch doing it's best to put the Spaniard off. 0-2
46' We are back underway at Prenton Park. 0-1
Half time
HT: A tough half of football for Spurs but they take the lead into the half. The Lilywhites began the game with two fantastic chances on goal but squandered both. Tranmere edged their way into the game but never really threatened and Spurs took advantage of that as Aurier struck them ahead.
(more on the goal) Aurier struck from distance and saw his spectacular shot curl away from the goalkeeper and into the top corner. A superb goal. 0-1
35' Rovers get their first recorded shot on goal with a header from a corner but Monthe's attempt was saved by Gazzaniga.
30' Llorente tries his luck through a volley on the edge of the box directly from a corner but his attempt whistles over the bar. 0-0
26' Rovers stepping up their attempts to get forward but Norwood's shot flies well wide of the target. 0-0
25' Tranmere get their first shot goalwards but Dele Alli gets enough of a block on the volley to deflect it away. 0-0
15' Ben Davies volleys an effort from 20-yards out but it was the Tranmere goalkeeper who once again dealt with the danger. 0-0
13' Another incredible miss from Spurs! This time it is Lucas Moura who undoes all of the fantastic work from Son with a powerless shot straight at Davies. 0-0
2' A positive start from Spurs on what looks to be a very uneven pitch. 0-0
1' We are underway at Prenton Park. 0-0

Mellon quotes
(continued) "As everybody knows, we've had some tough times, so it's important we go out there and take part in a fantastic occasion. We'll go and do that the best way we can.

"It's a massive game for us and a big, big ask, but we're going to give it everything we've got and try to represent the club, as we always do, properly."

Micky Mellon quotes
The Tranmere manager, Micky Mellon has also spoken to the media ahead of the clash:

"It's a fantastic opportunity for the club to go and announce to the footballing world that it is still here."

Pochettino quotes
(continued) "But like always I told you, I was so honest from day one, the club need to be first of all consistent in the top four and in the Champions League. Consistent to challenge the big sides and then thinking about trying to win trophies."
Pochettino quotes
Ahead of the clash, Pochettino spoke to the media about winning a trophy:

"For many people me it's important of course, they believe it's important. For me, of course it's important always to win a trophy. It will show that we are in a good position. Of course, it's going to be good for our egos and to enjoy winning."

The two sides have only ever met on eight occasions and Spurs have never lost with the most recent of which coming in 2002 in a FA Cup clash which Spurs won 4-0.
Team news
Pochettino will also be without Eric Dier, Jan Vertonghen and Mousa Dembele despite the trio having all returned to first-team training this week.
Team news
As for the Lilywhites, Mauricio Pochettino will be without Erik Lamela who will not play due to illness. The Argentine will also be without Victor Wanyama who continues to recover from his knee injury.
Team news
Rovers will have Ollie Banks available after the midfielder returns to the squad from injury. Luke McCullough has been given the all clear to play due to his loan contract conditions.

The Birkenhead based side play at Prenton Park which has a capacity of just under 17,000. The huge game against Premier League opposition has attracted a sell-out crowd for what is one of the biggest games in Rovers' history.
Tranmere sitting comfortable
Tranmere currently sit in ninth place in League Two and come into the game on the back of a 1-1 draw against Sol Campbell's Macclesfield Town
Spurs managed to progress to the semi-final last year but tasted defeat for the second year in a row against Manchester United - coming after Chelsea knocked them out the year before.
Bounce back
The Lilywhites go into the game in good form with their only recent defeat coming against Wolverhampton Wanderers on December 29. Pochettino's men did bounce back in style as they put Cardiff City to the sword in a 3-0 victory.
Tottenham begin their 2018/19 FA Cup campaign with a trip to Tranmere. Spurs face League Two opposition as they did last year when they came up against Newport County.
