That's it from us this evening, thanks for following the game with VAVEL.

Having been informed that both Managers interviews aren't likely to be broadcast this evening, please accept this as my queue to go congratulate my Liverpool supporting friends on their Title win.

All the reaction to this evening's game can be found at the Chelsea VAVEL page at some point this evening, as well. as tomorrow, before the Blues face off against Leicester City on Sunday, in their FA Cup Quarter-Final.

FULL-TIME: Chelsea 2-1 Manchester City

Frank Lampard's Chelsea have beaten 10-man Manchester City, to cement their place in the top four and go within a point of third-placed Leicester City.

Pulisic's goal courtesy of an error from Benjamin Mendy put the hosts one-nil up, before Kevin De Bruyne levelled proceedings during the second-half.

A 90-second period of madness, where Tammy Abraham couldn't have gone closer for the hosts, saw Fernandinho dismissed for handball.

Willian roofed the resulting penalty beyond Ederson and handed Frank Lampard's side a crucial three-points in their quest for Champions League football next term.

22:09a year ago

Thats it, Liverpool are Champions of England again!

It isn't all about Liverpool, as allot of praise must be put towards Frank Lampard for guiding his Chelsea side to three-points this evening.

But Congratulations to Jurgen Klopp's side.

Scenes from Anfield (84')

Scenes coming to us from Anfield where a small cohort of Liverpool fans have begun to gather. Their 30-year wait for a top-flight League title is almost over.
21:53a year ago

Room for breath? (80')

My fingers are hurting now- haven't stopped typing for five minutes straight. What a game of football this is.
21:52a year ago

Goal- Chelsea (Willian, 78')

What a penalty that is from the Brazilian. The run up is slow as he checks his run. He then lifts the ball in to the left-hand top corner beyond Ederson. All uphill for City now.
21:51a year ago

RED CARD- Manchester City (77')

Fernandinho is shown a straight Red card for Handling the ball in the penalty to prevent Tammy Abraham scoring.
21:50a year ago

21:47a year ago

Substitutions- Both sides. (73')

Mateo Kovacic has replaced Ross Barkley for Chelsea, whilst Nicolas Otamendi replaces Aymeric Laporte for the visitors.
21:45a year ago

Goal-line Clearance (71')

Hats off to Kyle Walker for this one. Christian Pulisic has Manchester City's last line of defence again, before dribbling round the on rushing Ederson. His shot is about to trickle over the line when Walker stops it with the most extraordinary of defensive clearances. (71')
21:42a year ago

Liverpool are 20 minutes from the Title (70')

As things stand, Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool are 20 minutes from the Premier League title.
21:41a year ago

Wow, that was close for Sterling. (67')

A Manchester City corner finds its way out to Raheem Sterling at the edge of the box. The winger knocks the ball out of his feet before curling the ball just wide beyond the top corner. Kepa was still.
21:39a year ago

Ouch (64')

A small, momentary break in play as Antonio Rudiger catches Kevin De Bruyne. VAR are checking this one...But to no avail for City, it is just a throw in for the visitors.
21:36a year ago

Oh dear Mason Mount (63')

The young midfielder goes so close to restoring the hosts lead. He breaks through on goal before eventually snatching at his shot, sending it wide at the near-post.
21:35a year ago

Substitution- Chelsea (62')

It is the substitution every one would've predicted at this point, as Tammy Abraham replaces Olivier Giroud up-front for Chelsea.
21:34a year ago

Manchester City dominating (61')

Chelsea have to settle things down here. Frank Lampard's side are at sixes and sevens as they give away another free-kick within shooting range. De Bruyne can't work magic this time however.

A corner follows that opportunity, with it coming to nothing for the visitors.

21:33a year ago

Substitutions- Manchester City (58')

Amongst all the madness, Manchester City have made three changes. David Silva, on for his last Manchester City appearance at Stamford Bridge, Gabriel Jesus and Zinchenko replace Mendy, Bernardo Silva and Rhodri respectively.
21:31a year ago

Sterling goes close (56')

We said at half-time that City needed two goals to rectify this one, and they nearly got their second as Raheem Sterling went rampaging through on goal.

He dinks it over Kepa, only to see his effort hit the post. So close for the winger.

21:29a year ago

Goal- Manchester City (Kevin De Bruyne, 54')

WOW! That is special. Kevin De Bruyne has just produced one of the greatest free-kicks in recent memory.

The Belgian wizard picks his spot from 25-yards and Kepa has absolutely no chance. 1-1.

21:23a year ago

Bosh (49')

Andreas Christensen might now be wishing he didn't put his head in the way of that Benjamin Mendy shot. The Dane has been absolutely wiped out by it. He's back on the pitch as proceedings get back underway.
21:18a year ago

Back Underway (45')

Manchester City, needing two goals to turn the game on its head and stop Liverpool winning the title by full-time, get us back underway.

City have responded well (43')

Manchester City have responded well since going behind, putting together several good phases of play that have had their hosts on the back foot. The final ball, however, is just eluding the visitors at this moment in time.
20:54a year ago

Close (38')

That is worryingly close from Riyad Mahrez, from a Chelsea perspective. That is what the Algerian can do when given room. He almost bends a shot with his left-foot past Kepa into the top corner, it however just drifts wide.
20:53a year ago

Yellow Card- Chelsea (Alonso, 37')

Chelsea's left-back is the first man into the book this evening.
20:52a year ago

GOAL - Chelsea (Pulisic, 36')

Wow. What an error that is from Benjamin Mendy. He dives in on Pulisic way to early as the United States International breaks into the City half quickly. Pulisic skips past him, before bending the ball past Ederson into the City net.
20:48a year ago

Close again for Chelsea (33')

Chelsea have just come close several times in the space of thirty seconds. The final effort, by Ross Barkley is scrambled away for a corner by Ederson. The corner is brilliant as well, with Andreas Christensen denied by a world-class stop by the Manchester City keeper.
20:43a year ago

Close for the hosts (27')

Willian having moved well down the right switches the ball to Marcos Alonso who then plays the ball low across the penalty area. The ball eventually finds its way out to Ross Barkley, who's shot is blocked by Fernandinho. The corner comes to nothing.
20:39a year ago

Drinks Break (22 1/2')

The players are all taking thirty seconds to get a drink on board at the moment, with play paused.  Don't blame them in the heat today.
20:38a year ago

City Dominating (22')

Pep Guardiola will be very pleased with his side's start to the game tonight. City have had the majority of the ball and the chances, with Chelsea goalkeeper, Kepa,  the only reason that they aren't one-nil up.

Corner Chelsea (12')

Chelsea, after good attacking play down the right win a corner, the original ball in is cleared, with the ball dropping to Mason Mount on the Volley. The youngster can only blaze the ball high and wide from the edge of the penalty area.
20:28a year ago

Mendy again does well on the left-hand, winning a corner for his efforts. The ball is recycled from the corner, with the ball eventually finding Kevin De Bruyne, the City Midfielder's effort however, is straight at Kepa.
20:25a year ago

CLOSE! (8')

City work the ball well down the left-hand side, with left-back Benjamin Mendy eventually flashing a cross come shot towards Kepa in the Chelsea goal. The Spaniard saves low with his feet.

Having worked the ball well, Ilkay Gundogan wins the first corner of the game for City on the left-hand side. It eventually comes to nothing and Chelsea clear.
20:18a year ago

Chelsea look to build in midfield, but Oliver Giroud's pass goes astray, giving Kyle Walker a throw in for his side in the right-back position.

Liverpool could seal the title this evening without even kicking a ball

That's right, you read the title on this comment correctly. Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool could clinch their first Premier League title, if Manchester City fail to win in SW6 this evening.

Chelsea Manager Frank Lampard is however not focused on what the outcome of tonight's fixture could have for Klopp's side, having stated he hasn't given it a second thought, when addressing the press yesterday afternoon.
