London vs Leeds

Some more interesting pre-match facts...

Each of the last five London teams to visit Elland Road for a league match have all lost – QPR (twice), Millwall (twice) and Brentford. The last London side to win away at Leeds was Millwall in January 2018.

However, Leeds are winless in seven league meetings with Fulham (D5 L2) since a 3-0 away win in March 2015.

It's certainly shaping up to be a great game at Elland Road!

Mitrovic starting to struggle?

The Championship's top scorer has hit a mini dry patch of late, with Mitrovic without a goal in his last three either side of the lockdown period.

However, if he can add to his 23 goals this season today, all will certainly be forgotten if it helps Fulham to victory!

A run of draws

The last three games between these two sides at Elland Road have all ended in a draw!

You have to assume that Leeds will take that and would likely end Fulham's race for an automatic spot.

Hernandez returns

Pablo Hernandez returns for Leeds but doesn't quite make the starting XI.

He has been as important as ever for Marcelo Bielsa's side this season with six goals and six assists.

Will he add to that tally today off the bench?

Team news

"Full-back Barry Douglas is sidelined with a calf injury while influential midfielder Pablo Hernandez is back in training, whether he will feature on Saturday will likely be decided closer to kick-off.

Adam Forshaw remains sidelined as he continues his recovery from hip surgery, while Kiko Casilla has served three matches of his eight-game ban, so Illan Meslier will retain his spot in goal.

One change is on the cards for Fulham with winger Ivan Cavaleiro likely to replace Neeskens Kebano on the left-wing, also, centre-back Alfie Mawson is back fit but is unlikely to start ahead of Michael Hector or Tim Ream."

Do or die for Fulham

If Scott Parker's side are serious about pushing for automatic promotion, then this is a must-win game.

Defeat for Fulham would see the gap between them and Leeds stretched to 10 points, which would be an insurmountable climb to make with just seven games to play after that.

Moreover, Fulham must see an improved performance from Aleksander Mitrovic and co. if they are to come away from Elland Road with anything.

Will the league's top scorer add to his 23 goals this season on Saturday?

Will Leeds crumble again?

When Cardiff came back to draw 3-3 with Leeds at Elland Road back in December, it started a forgettable stretch of games up until February.

Marcelo Bielsa's side would only win two of their next 11 games, so the Argentine will be hoping to not see a repeat of that slump after The Bluebirds took points away from them again Sunday.

The key to success for Leeds will be for them to rediscover their pre-lockdown form which saw them win all of their last five games before the league was suspended.

Potential bounce-back game for both sides

Both teams suffered defeat in their first games back from coronavirus-enforced break and both were by a 2-0 scoreline, as Leeds fell to Cardiff City and Fulham suffered the same fate at home to Brentford.

Therefore, it is clear that both sides will be looking to recover, with Fulham vying for Leeds' automatic promotion spot.
