It was a derby without the usual atmosphere behind the closed doors but it got fiery in the final minutes, and that was the reason why the Rams were able to come back from the dead for a point.
The game looked all over after Martyn Waghorn's dismissal for a nasty challenge on Ryan Yates, but the heat got to Joe Worrall in giving away an unnecessary free kick and Chris Martin got the equaliser from it.

90+3' Shinnie takes a tumble under pressure from Silva and Forest counter at speed. Silva plays Mighten in behind perfectly but Evans gets back to slide in and stop the striker.

89' Derby into the final third for the first time in a while but Josefzoon only flicks a cross out of play. Whittaker replaces Bird in their final late throw of the dice.

75' Watson is again Derby's tormentor as he takes the ball of Martin in the box. The striker does then get a big chance from Forsyth's delivery from the left but it's blocked by Samba and Waghorn is in an offside position.

74' Grabban wins a long ball and comes inside to find Silva, who strikes the post from the edge of the box! Grabban then fires over.
72' Sharp counter from Forest. Ameobi and Grabban are up top with one finding the other but Grabban fails to hit the target.
71' Bird and Sibley link up to find Waghorn but his cross is nodded out. In the next phase Martin finds Sibley who advances with a great flick before Cash blocks.
69' Watson nips possession away from Sibley and does the same against Bird soon after. What a game he has had in midfield for Forest.
67' Cocu makes his first Derby changes during the drinks break as Josefzoon replaces Holmes and Waghorn comes on for Knight in the wide attacking positions.
66' Lolley has another go looking to recreate his finish in the first half, but Hamer makes the stop at his near post.
65' Forest get a corner up the other end, nothing comes from it initially but Watson eventually strikes a volley from more than 20 yards out which Hamer has to tip around his post.
63' Martin can't reach a cross but it's returned with interest, Sibley is blocked from making a shot by Watson and Bogle fires the rebound wide.
59' Yates receives treatment as a bloodied nose adds to his facial worries. The first substitutions see a double change for Nottingham Forest as Ameobi replaces da Costa and Silva comes on for Sow.
56' There's a big scramble in the Forest penalty area from a corner, and the referee blows for a stop as the masked Yates is left on the floor.
54' Ribeiro is good to continue. Derby come forward with Holmes twisting one way than another, Watson then nips the ball away from Sibley though.

HALF-TIME: Derby County 0-1 Nottingham Forest
Two very different halves to these 45 minutes, with Derby struggling for any rhythm and Forest well on top at the start and rewarded with Joe Lolley's goal.
The well-organised visitors were happy to sit back and frustrate after that opener, and the Rams have dominated possession but still struggled to find ways through.
45+2' Cash's free kick is punched away by Hamer for a throw, and Cash is then on throw-in duties too with the goalkeeper equal to it again.
45+1' Just the two minutes added on to the end of this first half. Forest will have a chance after Bogle takes out Lolley as the pair compete for a long pass.
45' Sibley's cross is nodded away by Cash but Derby keep the ball again, patiently moving it until Evans tries a long ball which Forsyth is prevented from controlling on the byline by good tracking back from da Costa.
42' Sibley attacks and finds Bird on the edge of the box. Bird evades a challenge from Watson but is denied a clear shot on goal as Figueiredo slides in his way.
41' Proper pressure being put on the hosts now as a Holmes throw-in is nodded behind for a Derby corner. Bird's delivery is put behind for another, which flies into danger but doesn't get a touch.
39' Cash can't take in da Costa's pass into the area in a brief attack from Forest. Sibley takes a clattering from Sow and then Watson in midfield.
36' Rooney finds Bird with a nice pass between the lines but his touch lets him down. Derby are slowly beginning to find some ways through and ask questions with Sibley then receiving the ball from Bogle before being challenged.
34' Forsyth's cross is deflected but Samba still should have held it - instead it's pushed in front of him and Forest are relieved to be able to clear.
31' Martin gets a rare touch in the box as a Bogle cross comes his way, and he manages to fend off Figueiredo but heads over the top.
29' Bogle comes inside and thinks he's been tripped by Watson right on the edge of the box, but play is waved on.
27' A superb press from Forest ends with Hamer slicing the ball out of play with all passing options closed down. From the throw Lolley almost finds Grabban in the box but Evans clears.
25' Cash gets some space to run down the Forest right wing but his cross isn't the most accurate one on this occasion. Derby with most of the possession now but the home side still look the more dangerous.
24' Back underway with Derby possession, but again every player who receives the ball finds a wall of red shirts in front of them.
22' Time for the first-half drinks break. A good chance for Derby to regroup.
21' A Holmes throw-in isn't dealt with by the Forest defence and Sibley is handed a chance in the box, but there are too many bodies in his way and the ball is eventually cleared.
19' Martin gets his head to an Evans long ball and Sibley is there to follow up with a sliced shot wide.
17' A Rooney free kick from out wide floats straight out of play. When even he isn't providing quality, you know things aren't going well for Derby.
16' A long cross-field ball from Evans goes beyond Forsyth and out of play. They've had some possession but Forest are brilliantly organised off the ball and they're finding no way to even begin playing through the lines.
14' Lolley now earns a free kick with Derby continuing to struggle for any control. It will be interesting to see how his goal changes the approaches to this game, because the home side have been very poor so far.

12' Forest take the lead with a spectacular finish from Lolley! He's invited to shoot 25 yards out and he does just that, finding the bottom corner with the help of a very slight deflection.
11' Sow is held back by Evans as Forest continue to move the ball well and set the tempo.
9' Cash now goes for an effort which is blocked in the box after good work from Grabban, and Derby scramble the ball away.
8' Holmes miscontrols and Sow wins a free kick as the winger struggles to win the ball back. Da Costa then receives the ball in front of a retreating defence but goes for a shot early and blasts it over the bar.
6' The first corner of the game comes to nothing for the visitors as the returning Sow is punished for a foul.
6' Forsyth comes across to make a vital interception to knock a through ball behind for a corner with Derby leaving some space behind them.
4' Rooney gives the ball away to Lolley out wide but his pass is blocked. Worrall then loses the ball for Forest and Holmes has space to break down the right, but his cross looking for Knight is too high.
3' Both sides with a spell of possession early on, neither of them look like they'll be sitting back in this one.

Cocu wary of Forest threats
Derby manager Phillip Cocu says to Sky Sports ahead of the match: "It will be a tough game because they are a strong side.
"They are very dangerous on the counter attack, especially against a team like us as we like to have the ball and play. We have to be precise when we have the ball today and make good decisions.
"But also if we play like we did in the first three games then we have a possibility to win this game."
Lamouchi expects 'interesting game'
Ahead of the game, Forest head coach Sabri Lamouchi has spoken to Sky Sports.
He says: "It's an opportunity to play an interesting game against a team in very good form. They're a very good team with good players, they way they play is so positive."
On Samba Sow returning, he says: "It's important for him and for us. We will see what he can do but it's not only him (who is important)."
Midfield battle key
"If there were any lingering doubts about the aptitude of an ageing Wayne Rooney in the Championship, it's likely they evaporated after his sublime free-kick in the 1-0 win over Preston on Wednesday.
The goal joined Louie Sibley's hat-trick at The Den on the list of individual flourishes that have propelled Derby County up the Championship and into playoff contention. Rooney - and the precocious youngsters that partner him in midfield - have showcased their quality on myriad occasions and Forest must heed the warnings.
Lamouchi's blueprint for away matches this season has involved a low, compact block out of possession, but - in order to stifle the influence of Derby's dangermen - the Reds must exercise their physicality more and restrict the space that Rooney and co have to operate in.
Samba Sow, if fit, will be key to this. The Malian destroyer is a fan favourite at the City Ground for his industry and power in the middle of the park, and a nightmare for opposition midfielders. He and Ben Watson will have to harry, harass and - most importantly - avoid giving brainless free-kicks away on the edge of the penalty area."

Sabri Lamouchi also makes two changes to his Nottingham Forest side, having beaten Bristol City 1-0 in midweek.
Samba Sow makes his first start since February having recovered from a knee injury to come off the bench in the previous game.
The other change sees Nuno da Costa replace Sammy Ameobi, in a move which is likely to see Lewis Grabban move wide to the left of their 4-2-3-1.
Joe Lolley, Matty Cash and Ryan Yates were doubts after picking up knocks last time out but all three make the starting line-up.

Cocu wary of 'hard-to-beat' opponents
Derby manager Philip Cocu says that he is aware of just how dangerous a side their neighbours are.
"Many teams have the same feeling I think, when they play Forest,” he said.
“They give you the feeling that you’re playing well against them, that you’re in the game and at any moment they can score a goal and it’s really extremely hard to beat them when they go up one nil.
"[They have] very good organisation, very good defence and still dangerous in the counter-attack.”
'Personality and experience' for Forest
Grit and character will be crucial in this derby clash, according to Nottingham Forest head coach Sabri Lamouchi.
He told Nottinghamshire Live: "We know where we will play on Saturday and we will face a team with confidence - they have got three wins in a row. It is important for us to go there and try to suffer less than we did against Bristol City, and try to disturb them.
"We are talking about personality and about the experience."

Samba Sow was eased back into action against Bristol City on Wednesday and is likely to make his full return at Pride Park following a long-term knee injury.
Joe Lolley, meanwhile, could miss out after what appeared to be an ankle problem forced him off at half-time against the Robins. Matty Cash and Ryan Yates also suffered heavy blows that day.

Jayden Bogle's fitness will be assessed after a knee injury saw him withdrawn early against Preston North End on Wednesday.
Tom Lawrence will serve the second of his three-match suspension, while Andre Wisdom remains unavailable following an "unprovoked assault and robbery" in Liverpool at the weekend.
High-stakes derby
The usual intensity of an East Midlands derby might be missing without 30,000 fans, but this will be one of the most high-stakes clashes between the two old rivals in recent times.
Derby have been one of the form sides since the season's restart, claiming three wins out of three to propel themselves into real play-off contention.
There are just a point outside the top six ahead of this clash to fourth-placed Forest, whose place in the play-offs looks fairly assured after taking seven points from these first three rounds themselves.
