Leicester City play their fifth game in two weeks on Saturday afternoon when they host Crystal Palace at King Power Stadium.

The Foxes have suffered back-to-back defeats to Chelsea and Everton in the past week as their Champions League spot could be under threat this weekend.

Speaking ahead of the game against Palace, Brendan Rodgers has been discussing the mentality within his group of players.

He said: "Talent has got us into a brilliant position. But as part of their growth, it's that emphasis on mentality that's key.

"That doesn't happen overnight. It's a process."

Rotation in his side

The meeting with Palace will be the Foxes fifth game since the restart and their third in a week.

With Rodgers making two substitutions at the break on Wednesday, the need to rotate with the congestion of fixtures will be very influential for the Foxes.

"We always have to look at that [rotating to freshen side up]. The games since we've been back we could have them all.

"There will be a core of players who will play, we'll make changes to freshen up but we're searching to get back playing with freedom."

With rotation in mind, the possibility of resting Jamie Vardy on Saturday has been mentioned.

However, Rodgers remained confident in his number nine.

He said: "We've spoken about ways to create him more chances. We have to look to attack. But I've got no worries about him, he's a top-level striker and when they're so close these milestones can take longer to achieve. He's still a catalyst for us."

Maddison a doubt

After coming on at half-time at Everton, James Maddison made a instant impact on the proceedings.

However, Rodgers has confirmed he is the only injury concern going into the visit of Crystal Palace.

Speaking to LCFC.com, he said: "He aggravated his hip again, so we'll see what he looks like. We'll just wait and see. He wasn't 100 per cent the other night when he came on, but he still changed the game totally.

"This is a player I have a great admiration for. He takes the game by the scruff of the neck and his contribution the other night was so important for us.

"It's just a shame if it keeps him out."
