Brentford look to make it five wins in a row when they take on London rivals Charlton Athletic at Griffin Park on Tuesday night in the Sky Bet Championship.

Brentford come into this game after an impressive 3-0 win against a 10 man Wigan Athletic side. A hat-trick from star winger Said Benrahma gave the Bees all three points. Joe Garner was sent off in the last ten minutes for a high tackle on Jan Zamburek.

Charlton will look to bounce back from a disappointing late defeat to another London rival in Millwall. Jake Cooper scored with nine minutes left on the clock to push Charlton closer to the relegation trap door.

50 not out for the BMW

During his hat-trick on Saturday, Benrahma scored the 50th league goal of the BMW trio this season. Benrahma, Bryan Mbeumo and Ollie Watkins have been unplayable at times this season and some of the goals they combine to score are incredible to watch. Following Saturday's win, Brentford set a new record of four consecutive wins without conceding, which they have never achieved before.

The form of these players this season has attracted the attention of those in the Premier League with Benrahma on the radar of fellow West Londoners Chelsea. The defence has also been incredible this season as well as the scintillating attack. The Bees are yet to concede a goal since the restart, which they will look to continue on Tuesday.

Credit must go to Manager Thomas Frank. His recruitment last summer and the way he sets his team out deserves huge praise.

He had this to say on the run in: "I think, for me, the pressure is always about the next game. I need to make sure that my focus is extremely always on the next training and the next game.

A potential relegation battle

Following the defeat to Millwall at the weekend, Charlton will have one eye on the teams in the relegation zone which they are now within touching distance of.  There is only two points separating Charlton from the relegation zone and a trip to the Championship's possibly most in-form team probably isn't what they wanted.

Manager Lee Bowyer lambasted his strikers performance in Friday's loss to Millwall and has called on them to step up in the remaining games of the season. He said this:  “I’ve just said to them there, the chances we created against Hull, we should have won the game comfortably.

"The chances against QPR, should have won the game comfortably. Cardiff, we created good chances there. Today, again, you can’t keep missing chances. I said to them, we haven’t scored in open-play in these four games we’ve played. How? Because we’ve probably created 15 good chances in those four games. We can’t take one?”

Team news

Brentford will be without Shandon Baptiste who went off injured in Saturday's win against Wigan.

Charlton have no fresh injury worries ahead of the game.
