Wednesday awaits another Premier League battle in the race for an European place as 9th placed Sheffield United host 6th placed Wolves at Bramall Lane, the oldest football stadium currently hosting professional football.

Following United's 1-1 draw at the weekend to Burnley, Chris Wilder's men need points more than ever following Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal's triumphs. Meanwhile, the Clarets and Everton are edging closer towards them in 10th and 11th place.

For the West Midlands' side who began Project Restart with three consecutive wins before falling to a disappointing 2-0 home defeat to the Gunners on Sunday, ending their eight-match unbeaten streak and making them miss out on moving further up the table to reinforce their European position.

Team news

Wilder has had a great deal of injury concerns as of late. Midfielders John Fleck (groin) and Luke Freeman have been ruled out alongside John Lundstram (shoulder). Therefore, he will have to decide who to replace in the midfield between Ben Osborn and Jack Rodwell.

On a positive note, centre-back  Jack O'Connell, who made his return as a substitute on Sunday, will be in form to return on Wednesday after a sustained knee injury.

On the other hand, Nuno Espirito Santo has no injury concerns ahead of their trip to Yorkshire. His only worry will be deciding who to partner up front with Raul Jimenez, although Adama Traore will likely be preferred to Diogo Jota.
