Brilliant Burnley defending deep

90+: West Ham are deep into injury time here, but it looks like they'll be unable to find an equaliser.

A MOTM performance from Nick Pope who has gathered almost every cross into his box, and made a number of fantastic saves.

The entire Clarets side have put their bodies on the line all evening.

ON - Albian Ajeti

OFF - Pablo Fornals

Into the final 10 minutes

80: Burnley are resolute, and look determined to hold onto this lead.

The home side look out of ideas and time is running out to find an equaliser.

19:38a month ago

77: West Ham's arch-nemesis Chris Wood taps home from Bardsley's cross, but the forward's finish is ruled out following a VAR check.

Let off for the Hammers. Less than 15 minutes remain.

19:29a month ago

68: Massive 20 minutes ahead for both sides following this break.

West Ham are building some momentum, however Burnley are continuing to defend with grit and determination.

This would be a big result in terms of the relegation battle, and the race for a European spot.

Almost an instant impact!

62: Haller almost scores with his first touch off the bench, but he scuffs his effort from close-range.

Momentum is building for the Hammers...

ON - Chris Wood

19:08a month ago

50: Just like the start to the game, Burnley are the quickest out of the blocks.

A couple of early corners for the Clarets, but they come to nothing.

46: No changes for either side and we're back underway!

Jay Rodriguez's first-half goal:

The strike that sees Burnley take another step towards European football...
18:51a month ago

HALF-TIME: West Ham 0 - 1 Burnley

The visitors lead at the break following Jay Rodriguez's powerful finish.

West Ham have had their chances, but haven't been able to find a way past Nick Pope so far.

18:44a month ago

Almost an instant equaliser!

40: West Ham almost equalise immediately!

Pablo Fornals plays Michail Antonio through on goal, but the in-form forward misses his one-on-one as he rattles the outside of the post.

GOAL! West Ham 0 - 1 Burnley (Jay Rodriguez)

39: The visitors take their chance! Charlie Taylor's cross finds Jay Rodriguez, and the forward powers home after beating Cresswell at the far post.

18:37a month ago

35: Another good chance for West Ham, and again it comes following an attack from the left-hand side.

Michail Antonio beats his man and picks out Yarmolenko in the box, however the Ukranian is unable to manage a clear attempt on goal and Burnley clear. Still goalless.

18:30a month ago

29: Soucek comes very close to making it three goals in three games, but he's denied by Nick Pope after connecting with Ryan Fredericks' cross!

18:28a month ago

27: Better from the hosts. West Ham beginning to mount some pressure here, mainly through Jarrod Bowen down the left flank.

Burnley continue to keep their shape, and have looked well-structured so far.

18:25a month ago

23: The players are afforded a rest for a drinks break, but I'm not sure either team will need it too much due to the lack of action so far.

Pieters' wasted chance from 12 yards out still by far the best opportunity of the game.

18:20a month ago

20: An opening twenty minutes of poor quality.

Both teams conceding possession too cheaply so far, and the final ball has been lacking for each side.

18:14a month ago

12: Very scrappy start to the game but the away team look sharper, and are creating the better chances.

Fabianski is tested again, but he saves comfortably as Vydra glances a header at goal following a free-kick.

18:11a month ago

9: Burnley should be ahead. Matej Vrdra held the ball up  well inside the area and found Erik Pieters, however he smashed a great chance over the bar.

18:05a month ago

3: Bright start from the visitors here. West Ham respond with the game's first attempt, but Tomas Soucek blazes over from distance.

Burnley's Form

The Clarets have picked up seven points since the restart, and they currently occupy 10th position in the table.

In their first game back after lockdown they lost heavily to Man City, however this 5-0 defeat was followed by 1-0 wins against Watford and Crystal Palace.

The points were shared in their last game, a 1-1 draw against Sheffield United at Turf Moor, and they will be hoping to continue their good form tonight, in East London.

The Hammers have picked up four points since the restart, and currently occupy 16th position in the table.

They returned to league action with back-to-back defeats against Wolves and Spurs, losing 2-0 in both following poor performances.

However, a dramatic London derby win against Chelsea gave them some breathing space, and they followed it up with a point away at Newcastle last time out.

Hammers seek vital win

A win tonight for David Moyes' men would be a huge step towards survival, with a victory moving them 7 points clear of the relegation zone.

Sean Dyche's side are comfortable in mid-table and have no fears over their safety, however the Clarets will be keen to finish as high as possible with a 'top eight' finish still on the cards.
