Takeaways

The quick-paced first half of which Lions dominated.

The first half went extremely quickly. Millwall were dominant for the most part and created a number of chances. Shaun Hutchinson would have been disappointed not to have turned Jed Wallace's corner into the far corner.

Gary Rowett would have been very pleased with his side's performance in the first half an hour in particular. Mahlon Romeo and Jed Wallace were continually creating chances something that Millwall have been missing since the restart.

Defensively sound

This is no surprise to most Millwall fans especially away from The Den. The Lions have kept four clean sheets in a row away from SE16. For the most part, they managed to keep the Rovers front paring quiet. This forced Tony Mowbray into a half time change. Replacing Danny Graham with Sam Gallagher.

The Millwall defence marshalled by Alex Pearce continued to deal with most of Blackburn's threats in the second half.
