Chelsea took home the top two awards as the Player of the Season and Manager of the Season for the 2019/20 Barclays FA Women's Super League were announced.

The winners were announced in an award ceremony with England and Arsenal legends Ian Wright and Kelly Smith on Thursday:

Player of the Season - Bethany England

After a stellar season in the WSL, Beth England was named as the division's player of the season

The Chelsea forward opened her account with a wonder-strike from 30-yards out in front of a huge crowd at Stamford Bridge for the blues' game against Tottenham.

Across the entire campaign, England played a crucial part in Chelsea's title bid and went on to score a total of 14 goals in 15 appearances, the top scorer at Kingsmeadow for the second season in a row.

Manager of the Season - Emma Hayes

The mastermind in the dugout behind Chelsea's unbeaten title win this season, Emma Hayes was named as manager of the season.

She led the blues to twelve wins and three draws across the season, with the team playing an attacking brand of football, scoring on average more than three goals a game and only concerning eleven in the season.

This ultimately led to Chelsea being handed the title ahead of Manchester City based on their points per game average

Golden boot - Vivianne Miedema

The Football Writers Association's Player of the Year, Vivianne Miedema was awarded the golden boot for the 19/20 campaign.

She scored a total of 16 throughout the year, including six in one game against Bristol City, where she also recorded an incredible four assists.

With Arsenal finishing in third, Miedema will be the gunners' main outlet as they look to win the Champions League when it takes place at the end of the month.

Golden glove - Ellie Roebuck

With ten clean sheets across the season, Ellie Roebuck picked up the 2019/20 golden glove.

Taking over from the injured Karen Bardsley from the start of the season, the youngster from Sheffield has excelled with Manchester City and has proved to be a crucial element of her side.

Roebuck has now truly cemented herself as City's number one, and has proved that she is one of the best goalkeepers in the country
