United have already beaten Frank Lampard's side three times this season in three different competitions but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's job is not done yet.

Solskjaer's men are currently enjoying a spell of 19 games unbeaten in all competitions which includes 13 clean sheets.

Whilst a top-four finish is still fresh on the Norweigan manager's mind, he will also be desperate to win a piece of silverware this season. It is now over three years since the club's last triumph in any competition - they were crowned champions of the Europa League in 2017 under former manager, Jose Mourinho

United since the turn of the century had struggled in the FA Cup, however, their last success came in 2016 when they beat Crystal Palace thanks to Jesse Lingard's extra-time strike. Before that, United last won the cup in 2004 with a comfortable 3-0 against Millwall

United will also be desperate to win due to them being one FA Cup trophy behind Arsenal who currently holds the record number of wins (13).

  • Solskjaer not happy with Chelsea's advantage

Solskjaer addressed the media in his pre-match press conference on Friday morning and has claimed Chelsea have an "unfair" advantage on his side.

“There is a concern, obviously, that they will have had 48 hours’ more rest and recovery than us. It’s not fair,” Solskjaer said. His side played Crystal Palace on Thursday night.

“We’ve not really played every three days but we definitely will now,” Solskjaer said. “The next two weeks will be hectic but then again we’re fit, very fit – our lads have not felt as fit as this for years, I’m sure.

“It was a big thing towards the end of last season that we felt our team wasn’t fit enough, we got a few injuries. This season we’ve not had that kind of a problem.

“It’s not going to be a problem and a concern for us but 24 hours, 48 hours is a big difference at this time [of the season] so we’ve not been handed four aces, to put it that way, for the last two weeks. But we’re going to have to put on a poker face and play the cards well.”

  • Previous meetings between the sides

United and Chelsea have faced each other three times this season and were victorious in them all.

The opening day of the season United punished the youth of Chelsea 4-0 at Old Trafford. They would then see each other in the Carabao Cup in October where Marcus Rashford sealed the win with a gorgeous free-kick.

They then played the reverse fixture in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge where the skipper for United sealed the three points with a bullet header from a Bruno Fernandes corner.

  • Predicted lineups

United's side could see a few changes but whether or not Solskjaer can afford to is a different topic. Odion Ighalo has been excellent in the FA Cup with two appearances and three goals, however, it is unlikely he will start due to Rashford and Anthony Martial's recent success up top.

United lineup: Romero, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Fosu-Mensah, Matic, Pogba, Fernandes, Greenwood, Martial, Rashford

Chelsea: Caballero; James, Rudiger, Zouma, Azpilicueta; Jorginho, Kovacic, Mount; Hudson-Odoi, Pulisic, Abraham
