Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Meanwhile, the Red Devils boss, whilst stressing the importance of Champions League qualification suggests it's not the be all and end all for United.

He said: "We’ve not ended up anywhere yet, If we get a result against Leicester I think people will say we’ve not had a bad journey this season. But whatever happens, it won’t be the end of the journey because we’ve still got some catching up to do on the two teams ahead of us.”

Brendan Rodgers

With the Foxes sitting fifth ahead of today's game, Brendan Rodgers wants his team to put in a performance that will go down in history.

Speaking ahead of the match, he said: "Where we started and now where we’re at going into the final game, I don’t think the players could have given me anymore. What they’ve done up to this point has been absolutely brilliant, and now they have a chance to make a result that will be heard around the world, and let’s go and enjoy it."

Reunions

It's also an intriguing day for Manchester United skipper Harry Maguire. In what certainly feels like centuries ago, the centre-back only left the East Midlands last summer in what was a world record fee for a defender. He makes his first return to the King Power Stadium today and will certainly be hoping to keep Jamie Vardy quiet.

Golden boot incoming?

One man who will be extremely keen to take part is Foxes' forward Jamie Vardy. No matter the outcome of today's game, the striker will be hoping to be holding the Golden Boot in his hands come full-time. The 33-year-old has hit 23 league goals this season, sitting two clear of nearest challenger Danny Ings.

Manchester United Team News

Meanwhile, it is in defence that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has the most problems. Having suffered a nasty head injury in the FA Cup semi-final loss to Chelsea, Eric Bailly has been a doubt ever since and may not take part at the King Power Stadium. Luke Shaw is also still suffering with an ankle injury and will be checked ahead of the match. Long-term absentees Axel Tuanzebe and Phil Jones both remain restricted to the sidelines.

Leicester City Team News

Brendan Rodgers is set to be without a few of his key players for today's match. James Maddison, Ben Chilwell and Ricardo Pereira are all out injured, whilst centre-back Soyuncu is still out with suspension for the red card he was awarded in the loss at Bournemouth. Marc Albrighton and Christian Fuchs are also both severe doubts with hip injuries.

What happened last time?

These two clashed at Old Trafford back in September, with the Red Devils claiming what could potentially be a decisive win. The cagey affair was decided by Marcus Rashford's penalty in the eighth minute after he was taken down in the box by Caglar Soyuncu.

Permutations

Well, it's still all to play for going into the final match of the Premier League season. Having previously looked comfortable, the Foxes have finally dropped out of the top four but still have an excellent chance to earn a place in the Champions League.

If the Foxes win, they get into the top four.

If Chelsea lose against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Stamford Bridge, all they need is a point.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils only need to avoid defeat to be assured of their place at Europe's top table.
