Scotland international Erin Cuthbert has extended her stay with Chelsea in the FA Women's Super League for another three years.
Since she joined Chelsea from Glasgow City back in 2016, she has established herself as a key element of Emma Hayes' side, and has made a total of 98 appearances for the club.
She featured in 23 of the blues' 25 matches in their unbeaten title-winning campaign this year, where they have already picked up the WSL and Continental Cup double and are still in the FA Cup, which will take place at the start of next season.
'This club feels like home'
Speaking to the club's website when the deal was announced, she said:
‘It means so much to me, I’ve been here three-and-a-half years now and this club feels like home to me. I can’t imagine myself anywhere else and I’m just happy to get the deal over the line.’
'I want the treble'
Chelsea under Emma Hayes have proved themselves as one of Europe's top sides. Cuthbert's ambitions are clear, and she has her sights set on a Champions League victory:
‘The Conti Cup was a great moment as well and now I’ve completed all the domestic ones, I want more and I feel like I can achieve that at this club.
‘The level in training has gone up another level again so it’s going to be really tough to get in the team and stay in the team. But that’s going to drive our standards forward and hopefully it’s going to be enough to get us over the line this year.
‘I want the Treble, but that includes the Champions League so I think I have to say the Quadruple.
‘The Champions League is the crème de la crème of club football, we want to get there, we narrowly missed out two years ago and we want more this year.
‘We want to go a step further and we’ve got more than enough fire power in this squad.'
