Kit Graham has made a promising start to the new WSL campaign but failed to get on the scoresheet.

There were some positive signs in her performance as she continues to make progress over the course of this season.

Graham spoke to VAVEL UK’s Mitul Samji at the end of the game.

  • The team's performance

“I think it was a good performance and a good battle against West Ham as it always is. It’s exciting to play each and every side in the WSL as they are all becoming stronger sides with the players they’ve recruited. It’s always good to test ourselves.”

There were positives to take from their performance against the Hammers but it would be a different story if Graham’s two first-half efforts turned into goals.

  • Surreal being back again

Both sides played their first competitive game since February 23 and the game was played behind closed doors due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Her first competitive game for seven months, Graham said:

“I think everyone was excited to be back after the break and especially with COVID-19, we’ve not been here for a long time but it is completely different without any fans. We’ve put everything into practice in pre-season.”

  • New Signings

“They’ve come in and made an impact. The players who are already here have stepped up into another level. We just got to help and push each other in training so hopefully, it comes out in games.”

It seems to be an exciting time for Tottenham Hotspur as they look to prosper this season and bridge the gap between the top teams.
