After their opening day victory at Craven Cottage against Fulham, Arsenal face a tougher test against West Ham at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday evening.

Despite West Ham losing their opening game of the season 2-0 at home to Newcastle, they will provide a difficult opponent for Arsenal to face and seem to always raise their performance for London Derbies.

Arsenal Team News

There is no new injury news for Arsenal with David Luiz back in training but not yet match fit. Elsewhere, Calum Chambers, Pablo Mari, Gabriel Martinelli, Shkodran Mustafi, Emile Smith-Rowe and Sokratis are all still out.

Not many changes from the Fulham game are expected. It was a solid performance and Arteta has not tended to make any changes to winning teams in his reign so far.

Arsenal also face Leicester City on Wednesday in the Carabao Cup and Arteta may use that to rotate his side.

Tactics & formation

The one change that could happen from the Fulham game would be Dani Ceballos in for Mohamed Elneny. The Egyptian had a good game last time out, but Ceballos had an excellent end to last season and formed a great partnership with Granit Xhaka which Arteta will be looking to return to.

The other potential change that could be made would be putting William Saliba in at centre back. However, given the fact Arteta has said he wants to ease Saliba into the starting lineup and the fact Rob Holding put in a good performance against Fulham, Arteta could stick with the Englishman.

There could also be an argument to start Nicolas Pepe over Willian but given the fact Willian got three assists against Fulham, I think he has earnt the right to start against West Ham.

The Opposition

Meanwhile for West Ham, captain Mark Noble may be out with a toe injury and David Moyes wasn't sure whether if he would be fit for the game. Former Gunner Jack Wilshere is out with an ankle injury. Arsenal will need to look out for striker Sebastien Haller and midfielder Felipe Anderson both of whom scored in their 3-0 Carabao Cup victory against Charlton.

Prediction

While there are lots of problems at West Ham currently in regard to the owners and their lack of transfer business so far, this is a side that beat Chelsea twice last year and will provide a tougher test than the media are suggesting.

However, I think Arsenal will carry on their good form and beat the Hammers 2-1 on Saturday evening.
