Crystal Palace come into the rivalry match against Brighton off the back of a 4-0 defeat to Chelsea before the international break.

New signing, goalkeeper, Jack Butland, and a familiar face in right-back, Nathaniel Clyne, give Palace that much-needed cover in these positions.

Brighton lost 4-2 to Everton before the international break and both sides will be looking to claim the bragging rights with an important win.

  • Predicted line-up for the Eagles

Possible Crystal Palace XI: Vicente Guaita, Joel Ward, Cheikhou Kouyate, Mamadou Sakho, Tyrick Mitchell, Luka Milivojevic, James McArthur, Jeffrey Schlupp, Eberechi Eze, Wilfried Zaha and Jordan Ayew.

Goalkeeper - Guaita

First-choice on the team sheet as always, the Spaniard is ever so reliable in the Eagles' net and he will retain his spot for Sunday.

Defence - Ward, Kouyate, Sakho and Mitchell

It is too early for Clyne to feature so Ward will keep his place.

Kouyate has impressed as a makeshift centre-back and his partnership with Sakho has been superb for the most part.

Young Mitchell will keep his spot at left-back as Patrick Van Aanholt is still out with a long-term injury. Mitchell has continued with his mature and impressive displays and he should be the one to start.

Midfield - Milivojevic, McArthur, Schlupp and Eze

Milivojevic comes in for the injured James McCarthy and the Serbian will be looking to improve his poor form.

McArthur remains ever-present in midfield and he will be supported by the pace of Schlupp and Eze on the wings.

Schlupp and Eze can run with the ball and trouble the defence, as well as create chances for Zaha and Ayew.

Forwards - Ayew and Zaha

Ayew is likely to start up top despite his poor start to the season.

Zaha is in great form and he loves a goal against Brighton. He has scored more goals against the Seagulls than any other opposition in the league (6).

Ayew scored a crucial winner against Brighton in their previous meeting and he will want to do the same again on Sunday afternoon.
