With the international and domestic transfer window now closed, and all 92 clubs have done their business. All 20 Premier League clubs had to submit their final squads to the league offices on Tuesday.

Newcastle United have submitted theirs. No big surprises have arrived from The Magpies squad selection with only four "first" team players missing out.

Atsu and Saivet miss out, Gayle and Ritchie included

Missing out on the squad are Christian AtsuHenri SaivetAchraf Lazaar and Rolando Aarons.

Aarons missed out on his transfer deadline day, with The Terriers chairman already saying they will try again in January.

Head Coach Steve Bruce told NUFC online when asked about the squad selection:

"Selecting the Squad is always difficult because you know you have to leave people out. With all the players, they're professionals, and they want to play week in, week out.

"With the players we've brought in, it makes it even tougher, but it's a decision you have to make.

"Those who aren't involved will continue to train and keep themselves right, and once we hit December and January,  we can get them fixed up with clubs."

The 25-man squad includes Dwight Gayle and Matt Ritchie who will both recover from their injuries and have a decent chance of playing before January. Which is the next time teams can re-submit their squads as they will have an opportunity to improve them with the window reopening.

Premier League rules dictate that players under the age of 21 do not have to be registered; this applies to the homegrown Matty Longstaff.

Newcastle have three first-team players out on a season-long loan, these players are:

Florian Lejeune (Deportivo Alavés), Yoshinori Muto (SD Eibar) and Freddie Woodman (Swansea City)
