Full time thoughts

Southampton deserved the three points today, and continue to prove themselves as serious competitors this season.

Everton created very little chances through the whole match and could be in trouble for future matches with a second red card suspension in as many games.

Every team in the league has now lost a game now after six matches, this could be one of the most interesting Premier League seasons for many years.

Everton have the chance to go three points clear at the top of the Premier League table this afternoon if they can beat Southampton.

I'm anticipating a much closer game today between two in-form sides.
