It was a night to forget at Emirates Stadium last night, as Aston Villa thrashed Arsenal 0-3.

In which was the last match before the international break, it means The Gunners have to wait two weeks to put things right.

The next fixture is away to newly promoted Leeds United, who will be fancying their chances against an inconsistent Arsenal.

Here are the player ratings from last night's heavy defeat.

Goalkeeper and defence

Bernd Leno 5 - He made a couple of good saves to keep the score lower, he could not do anything about any of the goals though.

Hector Bellerin 5 - The Spaniard created as much as he could going forward for Arsenal, but failed to deal with Jack Grealish defensively.

Rob Holding 4 - Similarly to Bellerin, Holding struggled massively to deal with Grealish, who was running riot at the Emirates.

Gabriel Magalhaes 5 - Gabriel will be extremely disappointed with his performance, understandably his worst in an Arsenal shirt. He could not handle Ollie Watkins, who was able to score twice.

Kieran Tierney 6 - The Scot created one major chance for Arsenal, picking out Alexandre Lacazette. Unfortunately that was the best the side could conjure and he looked weak in defence.

Bukayo Saka 4 - A poor performance from the Hale End graduate. He never looked to get into the match and his show was topped off with an own-goal.

Midfield

Thomas Partey 5 - One of the only players who looked to move Arsenal forward, however the Ghanaian still had a below-par display and was taken off at halftime with an injury.

Mohamed Elneny 4 - He was unable to be able to replicate his heroics at Old Trafford, the Aston Villa side dominated the midfield areas.

Attack

Willian 3 - Another poor display from the Brazilian, who gave the ball away numerous times and missed a big chance in the second half.

Alexandre Lacazette 4 - Lacazette looked slow and sluggish on the ball, had one major chance which he blazed over the bar. Yet another disappointing day for the Frenchman.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang 5 - Another game goes by without a goal from open play. Unfortunately he is not receiving chances from left-wing.

Substitutes

Dani Ceballos 5 - Came on at halftime but could not create anything, struggled throughout.

Nicolas Pepe 5 - Looked to be a bright-spark in Arsenal's dull side. He curled an effort past the post.

Eddie Nketiah 5 - Made very little contribution to the match, he could not create any chances for himself or teammates.
