Gabriel Magalhaes has been a shining light in Arsenal's underwhelming start to the 20/21 Premier League campaign. 

The 22 Y/O Brazilian Centre Back has cemented his position in Mikel Arteta's starting XI and has claimed Arsenal's player of the month award for both September and October. 

The Gunners Recruited Gabriel in this summer transfer window, signing the Brazilian Centre back from French team Lille for £23.4m.

Gabriel has already proven himself to have been one of the top performing defenders in the Premier league this season so far.

The young Brazilian took to life in the red of Arsenal in impressive fashion when he scored on his debut vs Fulham.

In an interview with Arsenal Player, Gabriel spoke about his options he faced ahead of his move to north London with Sky Sports reporting that the Brazilian faced interest from Napoli as well as Manchester United during the window. 

The Brazilian commented on the summer transfer by saying:

“I was trying not to hear too much about transfer speculation because you always end up thinking about everything that’s going on”.

After Arsenal came into the equation, he told me about other clubs that were interested, but I chose Arsenal because it was a dream for me.
