Liverpool 3-0 Leicester City: Impressive Reds Run Out Comfortable Winners

Liverpool win in style after the international break to extend their unbeaten home record and go level at the top of the table with Tottenham. 

Could have been more but with players due back this week the Reds and Jurgen Klopp will be delighted.

Takumi Minamino and Divock Origi on for Diogo Jota and Sadio Mane

GOAL! Firmino! The Brazilian ends his mini drought with a glorious header to make it 3-0

Mane once again can only find the goalkeeper who parries his effort just away from the onrushing Liverpool forwards

Into the last 10 minutes and Liverpool still lead 2-0

Somehow Firmino is denied by the inside of the post after beating his man.

Mane then see's his effort denied by a combination of keeper, defender and goal line

Jota weaves inside but his shot is dragged wide after smart work

Quiet 10 minutes with plenty of fouls as Leicester try and get back into the match whilst Liverpool look to play on the break

Somehow Leicester don't score as the ball is scrambled clear following a free kick

Roberto Firmino hits the post after more fine work from Diogo Jota

Mane! Goes through on goal but sees his effort denied for a corner. Big chance

Liverpool's injury issues continue as the impressive Keita has to come off with what looks like a hamstring problem

Neco Williams being readied and Milner will likely go into midfield

Robertson and Jota combine once more but the forward's effort at the back post goes over

Back underway at Anfield with Liverpool 2-0 ahead. 

Leicester were slow in coming out, perhaps after some stern words from manager Brendan Rodgers

Liverpool lead at the break and have been good value based on the chances

Leicester will need to change plenty if they are going to get back into the match

Robertson's pinpoint cross finds Diogo  Jota who's run is perfectly timed to head home! 2-0

Leicester get in down Liverpool's left but Fabinho gets across to concede the corner

Keita picks up the loose ball well and feeds Mane who's shot drifts wide. 

Albeit Mane would have been offside had he of scored

Sadio Mane and Naby Keita are causing plenty of issues for Leicester down the left hand side

Joel Matip goes close from another corner but his glancing header goes over and wide

Harvey Barnes goes close for Leicester who look to respond immediately

Jota opens up his body to fire at goal but the Leicester keeper is equal to it once again!

This week Leicester boss Rodgers played down his sides title credentials whilst talking up Sunday's opposition who he insists pose a threat in spite of their injury woes

Meanwhile Klopp spoke of the similar injury crisis he faced whilst manager at BVB Dortmund as well as the leaders within his group

Both teams could head top of the Premier League with a victory and Liverpool are looking to break new ground in their unbeaten run at home! 

Brendan Rogers' return to Anfield could be boosted by the return of James Maddison, Ricardo Perira and Wilfied Ndidi could all feature

Caglar Coyunca, Wesley Fofana and Timothy Castagne are all expected to be fine after injury scares

Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool will be without Jordan Henderson, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah whilst Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk remain long term absentees

Thiago Alcantara and Fabinho could both return to the matchday squad tonight
