Brighton & Hove Albion will be looking to cause an upset when they welcome Premier League champions Liverpool to the AMEX Stadium on Saturday lunchtime.

And the Reds will be looking for a response having lost at home to Atalanta in Champions League action in midweek.

Meanwhile, after victory at Villa Park last weekend Graham Potter's Albion side will be chasing back-to-back Premier League victories for the first time in 2020.

Team News

Adam Lallana is 50/50 to face his former club after limping off at half time in Brighton's win at Aston Villa last weekend. The playmaker will be keen to be fit though to start against the club he left in the summer. Tariq Lamptey misses out through suspension after his harsh red card last weekend.

Jurgen Klopp says he “couldn’t tell you” his Liverpool line-up to face Albion. The Reds boss is awaiting fitness updates on some players.

Jordan Henderson is among those in doubt due to a thigh problem, with Trent Alexander-Arnold looking set to miss out and Thiago Alcantara, Naby Keita and Xherdan Shaqiri all being assessed.

Predicted line-ups

Seagulls: Ryan; Veltman, White, Dunk, Webster, March; Gross, Bissouma, Lallana; Maupay, Welbeck.

Liverpool: Alisson; Milner, Matip, Fabinho, Robertson; Jones, Wijnaldum, Jota; Salah, Firmino, Mane.

Previous meetings

Liverpool have won all previous Premier League meetings with the Seagulls, although matches have often been close in recent seasons.

After Mo Salah and Jordan Henderson strikes put Liverpool 2-0 up inside 8 minutes back on July 8, Leandro Trossard halved the deficit just before half time. The Seagulls then pushed for an equaliser, only for Salah to strike again late on to seal a 3-1 win for the Reds at the AMEX Stadium.

How to watch

Saturday's early game kicks off live on BT Sport at 12:30.
