West Bromwich Albion will host Sheffield United in a key basement battle in the Premier League at the Hawthorns.

The Baggies sit in 19th place in their return to the top flight having picked up just three points so far while the Blades are rock bottom having managed just a single point in their nine matches.

Team news

Jake Livermore and Kieran Gibbs will miss out for the second straight week after testing positive for COVID-19 last week before West Brom's game against Manchester United while Sam Field is still sidelined with a knee injury.

Jack O'Connell is out for Sheffield United while Lys Mousset and Ethan Ampadu are questionable. Enda Stevens is a game-time decision for Chris Wilder's side.

Predicted line-ups

West Bromwich Albion (4-5-1): Johnstone; Furlong, Ajayi, Bartley, Townsend; Pereira, Sawyers, Krovinovic, Gallagher, Diangana; Grant

Sheffield United (3-5-2): Ramsdale; Robinson, Egan, Basham; Lowe, Fleck, Norwood, Berge, Baldock; McGoldrick, McBurnie

Previous meeting

The last matchup between the two sides was on February 23rd, 2019 when Sheffield United ran out 1-0 winners at the Hawthorns. Kieran Dowell's 14th minute goal was enough to secure all three points for the Blades.

Ones to watch

David McGoldrick has scored three of Sheffield United's four goals this season after netting only twice all of last season, including a wonder strike against Arsenal.

Callum Robinson will figure to be in a lively mood for the Baggies as he looks to find the back of the net against his former side. Like McGoldrick, he also has scored three times this season.

How to watch

The match can be seen live on Sky Sports from 8pm.
