As it happened: West Ham United 1-1 Crystal Palace

Sebastien Haller and Christian Benteke with the goals as the latter got sent off in the 71st minute.

Haller with a GOTY contender of an overhead kick to grab one point from the game. 

92' Declan Rice just sent a rocket from distance but it *just* skimmed the crossbar and got stuck in the top part of the net.

Imagine that went in.

90' We're closing on the final-time with the Hammers still searching for a winner.

In meantime, Andriy Yarmolenko and Robert Snodgrass replaced Jarrod Bowen and Said Benrahma.

71' And it looks like West Ham have been quite literally handed a massive boost!

Christian Benteke has been sent off with a second yellow card for an elbow on Tomas Soucek.

70' Great strike from distance by Jarrod Bowen but the winger put just a little too much power on it.

Hammers pushing for all three points.

One change at half-time, Manuel Lanzini is on for Pablo Fornals as an anonymous performance from the Spaniard comes to an early end.

And that's it for the first 45 minutes.

Christian Benteke's headed goal the only thing setting the teams apart so far.

Here's hoping for better performances in the second half.

Townsend with a brilliant driving run into the box, managed to get a pass off for Benteke but his backheel effort was straight at Fabiański.

West Ham lucky to be only one goal down.

Finally, something happened.

After 20 very boring minutes, Joel Ward put in a great ball which was headed into the back of the net by Benteke.

Palace lead.

22' A bit of worry for the Hammers as Cresswell looks to have rolled his ankle while trying to control the ball. 

He's now back on his feet, but that's definitely not what David Moyes wants to hear with Arthur Masuaku already sidelined.

14' And another chance for Palace as West Ham have been put on their back foot.

Cross towards Benteke was great but the ex-Liverpool striker headed wide from eight yards out.

13' Eberechi Eze with some great play and an even better ball into the box but no one was there to close it at the far post.

11' Good over the top ball from Aaron Cresswell which reached Jarrod Bowen but his touch wasn't good and Cheikhou Kouyate managed to recover well.

8' First shot towards Vincente Guita's goal, but it was high over the bar from Declan Rice.

Although Said Benrahma is unquestionably the man-in-form right now, there's another player who might steal his spotlight.

Wilfried Zaha, Palace's main man for the past however many years, has been yet again one of the league's best and most exciting players. The Ivorian has managed seven goals and two assists in just 10 games this season.

That's going to be one exciting matchup.

Despite losing both games last season, the head-to-head record looks very positive for the Hammers. Between October 2019 and April 2014 they've lost only once, winning five and drawing four times.

The hosts, who currently sit sixth in the table, are coming into the game off a narrow 2-1 win against Premier League's newcomers, Leeds United, last Friday.

The visitors are in 12th place, just three points behind their tonight's opponents. Their last league game took place on Sunday in which was a tough-earned 1-1 draw against league leaders, Tottenham Hotspur.
