• Watford win tight contest

Second half goals from Troy Deeney and Ismaila Sarr were enough to seal all three points for Watford against Stoke City, as Xisco Munoz's side continue to mount a challenge at the top end of the Championship.

Steven Fletcher's late strike proved to be a mere consolation, as Michael O'Neill's Potters are now winless in their last eight games in all competitions.

  • Derby earn vital win

Derby County moved five points clear of the relegation zone after a gritty away performance against QPR, with Colin Kazim-Richards' second half goal sufficient for the Rams.

This result sees Wayne Rooney's side secure back-to-back wins and clean sheets, whilst Mark Warburton's QPR sit seven points adrift of the relegation zone.

  • Stalemate at Deepdale

Preston North End and Reading staged a goalless draw on Saturday, as Royals striker Lucas Joao missed a late penalty which would of seen his side jump as high as second.

A point sees both sides unmoved in their league position on a frustrating afternoon for both camps.

  • Blackburn beat Boro

Blackburn Rovers capped off this weekend's Championship action with a 1-0 win against Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium, courtesy of a late goal from Joe Rothwell

Tony Mowbray's side move up to ninth, as Neil Warnock's Boro make it back-to-back home defeats without scoring, and remain in 7th.
