Awful. Horrendous. Embarrassing.

I'm going back to bed. Good night.

It's still over, but at least West Ham have a goal.

Game over.

GOAL: West Ham United 0-2 Liverpool FC

And it's two. A brace from Mohammed Salah.

A textbook counter-attack from Liverpool and a class finish from the Egyptian doubles the visitors lead.

GOAL: West Ham United 0-1 Liverpool FC

And here we go. As I've called it before the match.

Mohammed Salah with the goal to break his six-game goal drought.

Straight after Antonio missed a golden chance to make it 1-0 at the other end.

50' Liverpool nearly managed to catch the hosts on a counter-attack in two quick succesions.

Firstly, Origi found Salah in the box but his shot was blocked. A minute later it was the latter passing it to the Belgian but he only managed to hit the side-netting.

46' And we're back underway.

No changes to either of sides.

HALF-TIME: West Ham United 0-0 Liverpool FC

Well, that was quite uneventful.

No clear chances in this game, at least so far. Nathaniel Phillips bossing it at the back for the visitors with Angelo Ogbonna doing so equally at the other end of the pitch.

Hopefully, we're going to see goals in the second-half.

45' Salah tried his luck after a quick one-two with Xherdan Shaqiri, but his long-range effort was straight at Fabiański.
18:168 months ago
45' That was a fantastic ball from Thiago into the box but Origi's shot was, again, off-target.

42' Antonio has a shot on target, but Alisson catches easily.
18:118 months ago
39' Quick feet from Benrahma won a free-kick near the edge of the box, but Vladimir Coufal's great cross was cleared by Nathaniel Phillips.
17:598 months ago
25' First good chance for West Ham but Benrahma took too long on the ball and it was ultimately cleared.
17:558 months ago
23' Salah guided a header towards West Ham's goal, but it was again off target.
17:448 months ago
12' Said Benrahma, just wow.

The attacking midfielder flicked the ball above James Milner's head in a tight space, but his through pass was cut-off before it reached Antonio.

The flair, though.
17:418 months ago
10' Michail Antonio managed to beat Trent Alexander-Arnold to the ball and second later in a sprint race, but his cross towards Soucek was headed away by Jordan Henderson.
17:398 months ago
8' Another shot, but another one off-target. This time from Gini Wijnaldum.
17:378 months ago
6' First shot of the game, but Divock Origi's effort was far from troubling Łukasz Fabiański.

And we're off!

Are we going to see another Tomas Soucek goal, or maybe Said Benrahma's first?

Is Mohammed Salah going to end his goal drought?

Who knows. But I'm going for a West Ham 3-1 win. Tweet us your predictions at @WestHam_VAVEL.

Player to watch

Unfortunately, Jesse Lingard's transfer hasn't materialised in time for the loanee to be eligible to play in this game, but West Ham shouldn't have to worry due to Pablo Fornals' form.

In addition to his recent, very impressive, displays, the midfielder looks to always have his target set on Liverpool's goal as, since his debut in 2019/20 season, the Spaniard managed two goals in as many starts against the Merseyside club.

Previous encounters

Head-to-head record looks considerably better for the visitors as they've won seven out of the previous 10 games, losing only once, in February 2016.

In their latest encounter earlier this season, Liverpool narrowly edged West Ham by a single goal, winning 2-1 at Anfield.

Current form

The hosts are coming into the game off a victory against Crystal Palace which extended their very good patch of form as they're yet to drop points in 2021, with six out of six wins in all competitions.

And for the visitors, it's quite a different scenario. Two wins in eight matches in all competitions are a sign of worry for the reigning Premier League champions. They'll most certainly be looking to turn their fortunes, and their season, around.
