Vicente Guaita

Roy Hodgson is likely to be asked about how crucial the goalkeeper has been during his tenure at the club.

Possible deadline day signings?

It is the last day of the winter window and, although it is unlikely the Eagles will conduct any business, Hodgson will still be grilled on any rumours that will be circulating.

Christian Benteke, Patrick van Aanholt and Connor Wickham are all names who have been linked with a last-minute move away from SE25.

A tweak in formation

4-4-2 had been the Achilles heel for Palace in recent weeks with the midfield overrun leaving the defence exposed.

However, a change to 4-2-3-1, allowed Palace to express their attacking freedom, whilst also providing much needed cover through the middle of the pitch.

A much-needed win

The Eagles picked up their second win of 2021 on Saturday, thanks to a moment of brilliance from Eberechi Eze.

The three points relinquished the weighty pressure off Hodgson’s shoulders and he will be keen to carry that form into Newcastle on Tuesday evening.
