Aston Villa head to the south coast to take on Brighton & Hove Albion in the Saturday night football in the Premier League.

Brighton come into this game after exiting the FA Cup on Wednesday night, away at Leicester City. In the league, Brighton have gone precisely a month unbeaten. This run has included victories over Tottenham and an impressive victory over Champions Liverpool at Anfield. This excellent run has seen the Seagulls put some distance between them and the bottom three.

Villa are heading in the direction of European football next season after an impressive return to form in their 1-0 victory over Arsenal last weekend. Ollie Watkins got the winner with less than two minutes on the clock, and an excellent defensive display ensured Villa the three points.

Team News

Adam Webster is a doubt for the game after he picked up an ankle injury last week against Burnley. Davy Propper has returned to full fitness and could be in contention for Villa's visit.

Villa have no new injury concerns with long term absentees Kourtney Hause and Wesley still sidelined.

January signing Morgan Sanson is still awaiting his full debut, and Douglas Luiz will be hoping to be brought back into the side.

Predicted Lineups

Brighton: Sanchez; Veltman, Dunk, White, Burn, March, Propper, Gross, Trossard, MacAllister, Maupay

Aston Villa: Martinez; Cash, Konsa, Mings, Targett, Nakamba, McGinn, Grealish, Barkley, Traore, Watkins

Previous Meeting

Brighton edged an enthralling encounter 2-1 at Villa Park back in November. Brighton took the lead in the 14th minute through forward Danny Welbeck, which was his first for the Seagulls.

Villa equalised two minutes before the break through a Bertrand Traore free-kick.

Solly March restored Brighton's lead with a superb first-time strike.

There was late drama as right-back Tariq Lamptey was sent off for a second booking. Villa were then awarded a penalty which referee Michael Oliver overturned after a review.

Ones To Watch

Neal Maupay

Neal Maupay is the main man up-front for the seagulls and is currently the top scorer at the club this season with seven goals. The Frenchman is already closing in on last season's total of 10.

Jack Grealish

Villa's star man this season is going from stride to stride and is potentially the key to success on the south coast. Grealish has six goals and nine assists so far this season and will look to add to it in this game. Grealish is quick and agile and has an abundance of skills and would be the difference-maker in any side. Grealish has started in all of Villa's games this season.
