Full time: Leicester 0-2 Slavia

It's all over here at the King Power Stadium as Leicester crash out of the competition.

Provod's volley early in the second half gave Leicester a mountain to climb as they would have required two goals due to the away goal rule, but Sima's emphatic strike into the bottom corner sealed the deal for his side.

Leicester never seemed to get going, never created a chance that really tested Kolar and never looked like they were going to be the ones to progress.

Stanciu crosses the ball to the far post and Provod, who is completely free in the box, volleys the ball home.

Leicester need two goals now...

Nervy start for the home side.

Second half!

We're back underway! Will we finally see a goal in this tie?

Will they call on Barnes in the second half?

Rodgers has elected to give a rest to Leicester's attacking star, but will he have to call on Barnes as the match progresses?

Half time: Leicester 0-0 Slavia

The first half ended 0-0 and Leicester may be the happier of the two teams that it is that scoreline.

The Foxes started brightly and asked a few questions of the Slavia defence but as the half progressed, Slavia grew in the game and looked the better side, with Sima arguably having the best chance of the half as he fired wide following a Soyuncu error.

There is plenty for Rodgers to think about during half time, knowing that the tie will swing heavily in Slavia's favour should they get on the score sheet.

Leicester 0-0 Slavia

45' Leicester break forward and Albrighton delivers a low ball towards Choudhury but the ball trickles out of play and out for a goalkick in spite of a Leicester penalty claim.

Leicester 0-0 Slavia

38' Bah crosses the ball in and reaches Kutcha who has a free header, only to put the ball wide.

Leicester 0-0 Slavia

27' Stanciu clears the ball up to Sima and the young winger gets in behind after Soyuncu misjudged his header but the Slavia forward could not direct his shot on target.

Leicester 0-0 Slavia

26' Albrighton's movement gets him in behind the defence but the winger was always stretching to connect with the ball and couldn't muster the power to beat Kolar in goal.

Leicester 0-0 Slavia

23' Slavia win a freekick in a dangerous position but Leicester clear comfortably.

Leicester 0-0 Slavia

17' Vardy breaks with Tielemans in support but the striker is crowded out before Albrighton's shot is deflected wide.

The resulting corner leads to a half chance for the home side but is gathered by Kolar.

Leicester 0-0 Slavia

9' Leicester register the first shot on target in the match through Under but staright into the arms of Kolar in goal.

Leicester 0-0 Slavia

1' A briliant run from Soyuncu puts the Foxes on the attack before Under beats his man with ease only for his countryman to lash the ball over.

Seconds later, Under has another chance to shoot but is put off by the defender.

Lively start from Leicester's Turkish contingent.

Thoughts for the match

Due to the magnitude of the tie and how balanced it is, the first portion of the match could become quite cagey as both teams look to get a feel of the game before looking to attack.

Leicester will be hoping to have more joy in attack in this game and the emphasis will be on Youri Tielemans, who finds himself in a more attacking position to the one he has been playing in this season, to create opportunities for the three attackers ahead of him.

The additon of Hamza Choudhury to the Leicester side will add midfield steel against a Slavia side who pressed high and used their physicality in order to pressure the Foxes, while Cengiz Under will be looking to take this rare opportunity with both hands and impress Rodgers by causing Slavia problems in defence.

Jindrich Trpisovsky on his side's chances of progressing

Slavia manager Jindrich Trpisovsky was in high spirits during his press conference, stating that he believes his side has enough to progress in the competition at the expense of their opponents.

"I believe it will be an interesting game. Of course, we are strong on the home ground and we know where we are playing now. It will be a challenge, but we have experience with playing in England and I believe we can go through."

Brendan Rodgers on his side competing in three competitions

Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers was full of praise of his squad when asked about them in his pre-match press conference.

"The players' readiness and the work we put him. We knew it wasn't going to be about 11 players, it was going to be about the squad. The professionalism has shone through, because when players have been trining so intensely so that when they do come in, they play to a high level.

"The tactical flexibility of the team has helped. They deserve a huge amount of credit for where we are so far, but there's still a long way to go. Everything is calm, and we still have a long way to go in the season."

What impact the team news has

While Slavia's team news will not likely have much of an effect on their game due to the fact that they are only missing one player, the loss of both Maddison and Iheanacho could pose some difficult questions to answer for Brendan Rodgers.

The lack of Maddison means that the East Midlands side are left short of attack-minded midfielders, with both Perez and Praet out injured. The fact that Iheanacho is also unavailable means that the Nigerian is not able to play behind Jamie Vardy to support the 34-year-old so Leicester will have to find a different way to ensure that Vardy does not become as isolated as he did in the last match.

The answer could come in the form of Cengiz Under, who will be hoping to grab his chance and prove his worth to the manager as he looks to secure a permanent move to the East Midlands.

Against Villa, Leicester found success in using Timothy Castagne in right-back, while Ricardo Pereira played ahead of him on the wing, freeing up Under to occupy the number ten role that he tends to tuck into while he plays on the right.

Slavia team news

The visitors' side should largely stay the same from the first leg, with the only new absentee being Tomas Holes who picked up an injury against Leicester last game.

Stanislav Tecl and Petr Sevcik remain unavailable as the pair recover from COVID-19.

Leicester team news

The Foxes have been dealt a huge blow as they will be without James Maddison due to his hip injury flaring up against Aston Villa, though the length of which the England midfielder will be unavailable has been undetermined.

Leicester will also be without the suspended Kelechi Iheanacho due to an accumulation of yellow cards in the competition.

James Justin, Ayoze Perez, Wesley Fofana and Dennis Praet all remain out with their respective injuries.

Welcome!

Hi everyone and welcome to VAVEL's live coverage as we find out which team out of Leicester City and Slavia Prague will progress to the next round of the Europa League.

The tie is level at 0-0 coming into the second leg at the King Power, meaning that the away goal rule could act in Slavia's favour but will home advantage propel the Foxes to the next stage of the competition?

Kick off in Leicester is due at 20:00.
