On FPL

"No. As far as I know, there is no club policy. I am afraid with leaks, especially working with England for four years, leaks become part of our life."

26 February 2021 1:35 PM BST

On the game against Fulham

"They are playing well, winning games. I don't know if it takes the pressure off, we want to make certain we build on the three points against Brighton. Knowing full well against Manchester United and Tottenham, especially with the current injury situation, will be difficult."

26 February 2021 1:32 PM BST

The win against the rivals

"Yes, I think it does. i would be wrong to try and play that down. The players were aware how hard they worked to come away with those three points.

"They (The players) new that they had given their all, and done everything they were expected to do. Training this week has seen a lot of smiling faces."

26 February 2021 1:30 PM BST

On Palace for the rest of the season

A top 10 finish; "I think it's achievable for quite a few of us. One thing is going to be certain, that for us, we are going to need the players back who are in the treatment room."

26 February 2021 1:27 PM BST

On Fulham

"They're doing all the things any manager or coaching staff would want from any players. They're playing catch up because of that poor start. I have enormous respect for them."

Hodgson confirms that his side will have to pull out all the stops against Fulham on Sunday.

26 February 2021 1:24 PM BST

On Jean-Philippe Mateta

"He's still finding his feet. But you can't have a better start as a centre forward to score a goal of that nature."

26 February 2021 1:22 PM BST

On Brighton

"We didn't have the sort of possession or chances we would  have liked. But I thought our defending and the shape of the team was good. I thought the desire and spirit that we asked them to do to keep Brighton at bay, was there for all to see."

26 February 2021 1:21 PM BST

On team news

"He was out on the field today which was good, training with the rehabilitation specialist. I still have to wait for him to get the clearance from the medical department.

Hodgson says he hopes to hear news on Zaha next week.

Schlupp and Wickham have returned to some form of fitness.

He also confirmed that Clyne has picked up a slight muscle injury.

Palace last time out

26 February 2021 10:37 AM BST

A plethora of strikers

With Jean-Philippe Mateta scoring his first goal for the club on Monday, via a sensational double back heeled finish, Christian Benteke scoring the game winner and Michy Bathsuayi on the bench, Roy Hodgson has a surplus of forwards at his disposal.

It is possible that Mateta & Benteke will be given a chance to play alongside each other against Fulham on Sunday.

26 February 2021 10:23 AM BST

Team news

Hodgson will be asked on team news.

It is expected that James McArthur will be back for this weekend to strengthen Hodgson's options.

However, with several key components of his squad unavailable, the conundrum of three games in the space of a week will be a challenge for Hodgson’s dilapidated squad.

26 February 2021 10:22 AM BST

Wilfried Zaha’s return frominjury

Whilst the south Londoners finally won without their talisman, there is no question that Roy Hodgson would like his best weapon back at his disposal sooner rather than later.

Zaha suffered a hamstring injury against Newcastle United in early February and he has missed the previous three fixtures.

However, with images emerging of Zaha back in training, it is possible that the ferocious forward could be back sooner rather than later.

A ‘smash and grab’ on Monday

Crystal Palace’s 2-1 away win against rivals, Brighton & Hove Albion, was hailed as a resilient, durable and tenacious performance that saw the Eagles snatch all three points in the dying embers of the game thanks to a sweet volley from Christian Benteke.

They players finally brushed off the criticism and stigma when playing without Wilfried Zaha and showed a valiant display which satisfied the faithful watching from home.
