Previous meetings

The last meeting between the sides came during the 2012/13 Championship season.

Derby won 3-1 at Pride Park with goals from Craig BrysonChris Martin and Richard Keogh before Grant McCann pulled one back from the penalty spot.

Peterborough did beat the Rams 3-0 at home that season, though, as Saido Berahino scored a late brace after Michael Bostwick's opener.

18:45a month ago

Key player for Derby County

The Rams' key man is striker Colin Kazim-Richards. He was their top scorer last season with eight goals and provided two assists.

The 34-year-old came off the bench against Salford and scored a penalty to make it 2-2. He also scored in the penalty shootout as Derby won 4-3.

Key player for Peterborough United

The obvious choice for Posh's key player is last season's top scorer in League One, Jonson Clarke-Harris

It was a sensational campaign for the 27-year-old as he scored 31 goals in 45 appearances while providing three assists.

However, his best season tally in the Championship is six for Rotherham United as a youngster.

Can he take the division by storm this time around?

Peterborough United team news

Derby looking to build on opening day draw

Wayne Rooney's Rams are favourites to be fighting relegation this season due to their threadbare squad.

However, they will enter this game with some confidence after drawing at home to Huddersfield Town last weekend.

That was followed up by them progressing to the second round of the EFL Cup as they beat Salford City on penalties after a thrilling 3-3 draw in 90 minutes.

Can Rooney's side now pick up their first league win of the campaign?

18:10a month ago

Peterborough looking to bounce back

It's been a poor start for Posh this season in both league and cup.

Darren Ferguson's men lost 3-0 away to Luton Town last weekend in their first game back in the second tier since 2012/13.

They suffered another heavy defeat in midweek as a heavily rotated side lost 4-0 at home to League One Plymouth Argyle in the EFL Cup.

Only three of Peterborough's 11 defeats in League One last season came at home, and they will hope to pick up their first points of the season there on Saturday.

18:05a month ago

The match will be played at the Weston Homes Stadium

Peterborough United Derby County will take place at the Weston Homes Stadium.

The stadium has a capacity of 15,314, and the Rams received an allocation of 2,408 tickets.
