Tottenham Hotspur manager Nuno Espírito Santo has confirmed the frenchman Tanguy Ndombele will not be available to play in this Sunday's fixture against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Ndombele, who was also not involved in the first two games of the season for Spurs, was not included in Nuno's UEFA Europa Conference League play-offs squad.

Nuno's statement

"I can be completely honest with you," Espírito Santo said. "Tanguy (Ndombele) is not going to be involved in the squad on Sunday."

The Athletic UK reported the 24 year-old has now asked to leave Tottenham, while Football Insider Fabirizio Romano revealed the 'Lilywhites' are now looking to sell him before the transfer window shuts.

Status

'Ndomballer' as called by many, has played 75 games across all competitions for Tottenham Hotspur, recording eight goals and eight assists.

The 24 year-old is under contract at North London until 2025, and according to Transfermarkt he's worth around 50,00 mill. €.

''We have all the players,'' Espírito Santo told the press before the season started earlier this month. ''We have to assess all the individual aspects of each and every one of the players.

Tanguy (Ndombele) is not with us today. He is not injured but we consider it is not yet the moment for him to be part of the game.''

Evening Standard's Dan Kilpatrick also reported there were noises that the Frenchman came back to pre-season training “carrying a bit of weight.”

This situation is a shame considering a healthy Ndombele could provide lots of creativity for Spurs.

Unfortunately, turns out the Club's most expensive transfer ever did not work out, as he arrived two years ago but has failed to live up to expectations despite moments of huge promise.
