Harrogate Town will look to maintain their strong start to the Sky Bet League Two season against a Crawley Town team starting to find their mojo.

The home side will look for their third consecutive victory after seeing off the challenges of Carlisle United and Colchester United the previous two Saturdays.

Simon Weaver's Sulphurites have had an excellent start to the campaign, sitting in the automatic spots after seven matches and having lost on just one occasion all season.

The travelling Harrogate will be looking to right the wrong of Saturday, after suffering defeat to Port Vale.

  • Team news

Kwesi Appiah and Ashley Nadesan could both potentially start after recovering their fitness, both also appeared off of the bench against Colchester.

Owen Gallacher may start against his former team, having had a loan spell with Harrogate in 2019, despite making just two appearances.

Jack Diamond will be absent for Weaver's team after being sent off in in the clubs recent defeat to Port Vale, meaning Simon Power may have a chance to impress.

Alex Pattison and Lewis Page will both also be missing after the pair suffered first half injuries last Saturday.

  • Predicted lineups

Crawley Town: Morris; Francomb, Dallison, Lynch, Tsaroulla, Ferry, Payne, Hessenthaler, Powell, Nadesan, Appiah

Harrogate Town: Oxley; Burrell; McArdle, Hall, Fallowfield, Thomson, Falkingham, Kerry, Power, Armstrong, Muldoon

  • Ones to watch

Jake Hessenthaler

The hard-working midfielder has had an excellent start to the season, netting three goals from the middle of the park and establishing himself under John Yems.

Partnering Josh Payne in midfield, Hessenthaler averages a goal every 210 minutes, an excellent record for a midfielder and is currently the top scorer at the club. With the fire power Crawley possess up top, Hessenthaler thrives driving forward with his creativity. Averaging a rating of 7.43 per game, Hessenthaler is a danger to Harrogate.

Luke Armstrong

An excellent acquisition for Harrogate, Armstrong ripped the Vanarama National League apart last season, netting 15 goals in 32 games, and it looks like he's on track for a similar record this season too.

With five goals and two assists in seven games, Armstrong averages a goal contribution every game and is fast becoming one of the most dangerous attackers in the division. As the league's second top scorer, Armstrong will look to bolster his stats on Tuesday.

  • Previous meeting

Whilst these two sides have only faced each other twice in their history, Crawley have failed to ever defeat Harrogate, after a draw and a defeat last season.

Last time out Harrogate were three goals up by half-time, following goals from Aaron Martin, former loanee Josh March and Power. Crawley reduced the deficit in the second half through Tom Dallison, but it proved to only be a consolation.
