Mark Robins pre-match comments

Coventry City manager Mark Robins also spoke to the media.

“I think it (the international break) can be useful because you can get the fatigue levels back but it's generally used for more of a rest time for the first week and although we don’t have the whole time off, we do train, we have a block of days off which you don’t tend to normally have.” Explained Robins.

“The fact now is we’ve had quite a busy period up to this point, obviously 17 league games played then the six that come next, apart from this week where we’ve got a three-game week, you’ve got a week’s grace between games which is helpful too.

“So it can be helpful in a number of ways, one to get some work into players but also it allows them to get some rest into them as up to this point we have performed to a high level and picked up a brilliant amount of points so far then whatever we can do in the next block of six games.

“They will be tough; we’ll have to fight for every point as you normally do and these games coming up are against sides that people fancy in terms of achieving something this season and they’ll be absolutely challenging as they always are.”

On Sheffield United: “I think their performances have actually been ok and  they've been a little bit unfortunate from time to time, but they’ve got good players throughout the side, some of whom we know.

“I know Oliver Norwood obviously; he’s played for Coventry and he played for me at Huddersfield but I think he’s suspended tomorrow.

“John Fleck we know really well, Dave McGoldrick is there and there is a lot of players that we know.

Slavisa Jokanovic pre-match comments

Sheffield United spoke to the media ahead of the game - here's what he said.

On wanting his side to make it difficult for visiting teams: "I am using different words but sometimes you need to kick a***s because it's not acceptable,” Jokanovic said.

"We have to mark our territory. You are in my home, it's not acceptable. Sometimes I need to grab people by the neck but at the moment we are so kind, we roll out the carpet for our opponents. This is simply not acceptable.

"They are good football players. We can analyse shape and other things but it's a question of the moments where we need to compete.

"Don't be so kind. It's simple, it's not a competition between good and bad people, it's about being a winner and doing everything that is legal to win.”

Sheffield United vs Coventry City prediction

Coventry have made a better start to the season than United, but I still expect this to be a tricky game for the Sky Blues.

Their away form is much worse than at home, with four of their five defeats coming on the road.

However, with the form the Blades are in, there's no reason why Mark Robins' men can't leave with something from the match.

Prediction: Sheffield United 1-1 Coventry City

Previous meetings

The last meeting between the sides was a League One match at Bramall Lane on 5 April 2017.

United won 2-0 on that occasion thanks to goals from Leon Clarke and John Fleck.

In total, they have met 63 times, with the Blades edging it with 23 wins compared to Coventry's 22, while there has been 18 draws.

Key player - Coventry City

One of the Sky Blues' key players is Swedish international Viktor Gyokeres.

The 23-year-old forward is their top scorer this season with nine goals and has also provided two assists.

However, he is currently going through his longest goal drought of the campaign, having not scored in his last six outings.

Key player - Sheffield United

Lifelong fan and Blades captain Billy Sharp is one of their key players.

He's in his third spell with the club and has scored five goals in all competitions this season while providing six assists.

However, he's without a goal in four games, with his last coming in the 2-1 home defeat against Millwall in October.
