The 10 men of Bournemouth get back to winning ways as they hold on to their 0-1 lead despite Gary Cahill's second half sending off. 

The Tykes provided a commendable fight following on from Phil Billing's first half header however, it wasn't enough to get any form of result today and they remain rock bottom of The Championship.

The Cherries have remained fairly flat this second half with the hosts creating some good chances thus far. No Chances from the visitors so far.

Gary Cahill heads across the face of goal from a corner but the header goalward goes over the bar!

The fourth save of the afternoon from Mark Travers as Callum Styles lashes a shot goalward. 

A fantastic game here at Oakwell! 

Jefferson Lerma heads towards the goal into the ground, the ball cannons over the crossbar and the score remains 0-1 to The Cherries. 

Devante Cole should have scored for The Tykes! Mark Travers is there again for Bournemouth, a goal could be pivotal at this moment for either side.

Halftime at The Oakwell and it's advantage to The Cherries through Phil Billing's header. 

The Tykes have had a few chances which troubled the Bournemouth backline at the break but Mark Travers has been called into option a couple of times, smartly keeping the ball out the net. 

The Cherries have created some fantastic chances this half  with Domonic Solanke having multiple shots thus far. Phil Billings header is most definitely a foundation needing to be built upon going into the second period. 

Mark Travers and Zemura cause confusion for themselves before Travers makes a smart save to deny The Tykes.

Stacey crosses high into the air, the wind blows the ball into a dangerous area before Billing shoots high over the crossbar. 

The Reds could have been further behind, but the deficit remains at one.

There's been little threat from a Barnsley perspective going forward, however Devante Cole is working hard, pressing the Bournemouth backline at every opportunity.

Ryan Christie shoots from distance but Collins gathers at the second time of asking.

A good move from Bournemouth ends in a shot from Solanke that is charged down by Collins and eventually cleared by Barnsley.

It's Billing who gets it, but it's all about the work rate of Solanke! 👏

Dom Solanke feeds Phillip Billing as he heads past Brad Collins to give The Cherries the lead.

Dom Solanke has been somewhat prolific for The Cherries this campaign so far, scoring 18 in 27 appearances. 

The Englishman has been vital for Bournemouth and remains an important member of the squad as they aim to gain promotion to The Premier League.

Brad Collins the man between the Tykes sticks has been the outstanding player so far this season, with some describing him as someone that has managed to keep the scoreline respectable in most games. 

Bournemouth will need to be at their best if they are to beat Collins.

The Cherries currently have Lewis Cook and James Hill out with injuries. 

Left Back Jordan Zemura is reporting for International duty.

The Tykes currently have Finnish Centre Back Aapo Halme out through injury and English Right Back Callum Brittain out through suspension. 

Centre Back Mads Juel Anderson is in danger of suspension should he pick up another yellow card in this tie. 

Bournemouth have fallen victim to a poor run of form in recent weeks, having been top of the Championship for periods this season, and at one point opening up 9 points between themselves and third place, Scott Parker and his side now find themselves in third, three points behind Blackburn Rovers with two wins in their last 5.

Barnsley currently sit 24th in the Championship, rock bottom with no wins In their last 5. 

Last time out, the Tykes lost 3-0 to Nottingham Forrest, they have only picked up 14 points this season and have a goal difference of -24.
