Full-Time: Everton 1-0 Manchester United

Anthony Gordon's opener midway through the first-half proved enough for the three points, a vital three points in Everton's survival bid.

In a game that lacked any real quality, Everton simply outbattled United in every way. It was a deserved and much-needed victory that sees the Toffees sit four points above the drop.

United remain in seventh place, three points off of the top four with eight games to go.

Half-time: Everton 1-0 Manchester United

Everton go into the break the happier of the two sides, with a one goal advantage.

It's been a game that's lacked any real quality, with neither side bringing their 'A' game.

Bruno Fernandes has looked sharp for the visitors, while Anthony Gordon has been a nuisance. And it was the latter who opened the scoring, his shot deflecting off Harry Maguire and wrong-footing De Gea in goal.

Rangnick will be expecting more from his team as they look to keep their top four hopes alive.

Rashford once again finds space on the left. The winger whips a ball in searching for Ronaldo, but Mykolenko does excellently to divert the ball over the bar for a corner. Alex Telles' ball in was poor, however.

United look most dangerous attacking down the Everton right. Once again, Telles found himself in space and although his cross could only find Pickford, Coleman is struggling to deal with the Brazilian.

Fred is replaced by Pogba. The Brazilian picked up what appears to be a groin injury in the first-half.

Richarlison takes the ball down under little pressure from Lindelof. His shot deflects off the Swede and the looping ball is tipped over excellently by De Gea.

Another good chance for Everton. A wide free-kick is whipped into the near post and flicked towards goal by Keane. His shot went just the wrong side of the bar.

The following corner was hardly cleared by Everton. The ball was lifted in towards Ronaldo who shot inches wide, however the assistant's flag went up.

Following a good free-kick by Bruno Fernandes, the ball squirms to Rashford who forces a great save from Pickford.
12:34a month ago

As expected for two sides who are struggling for form, it's been a tentative start. Neither side has really held onto the ball so far.

Everton flailing under Lampard

It's been a tough return to management for former Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard. Since taking over at the club, they have only managed six points in the Premier League (2W, 10L).

A draw on the cards?

Manchester United vs Everton has started to become a fixture synonymous with draws recently. Of the last eight times they have played, we have seen six draws, while United won the other two.

The Toffees would undoubtedly take a draw, finding themselves 17th in the Premier League, just one point above the drop zone. The visitors will be looking for a win to keep their top four hopes alive.
