Cardiff City Striker Adam Le Fondre has completed his loan move to Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers.

A poor spell at Cardiff

Le Fondre has only scored three goals in 25 games in the red of Cardiff since his move from Reading last May and spent the second half of the 2014/15 season on loan at fellow Championship side Bolton netting eight times in 17 appearances.

It was confirmed by Wolves manager Kenny Jackett that Le Fondre was at Molineux on Monday to undergo talks and a medical to be completed for a loan deal with the view of a permanent one at the end of the 2015/16 season.

Jackett has been keen to bolster his striking options with Benik Afobe and Nouha Dicko the only forwards that are available to the Scotsman.

They were linked with Leicester’s Chris Wood before pulling out of a deal with the striker eventually joining Leeds United, they were also linked with Crystal Palace’s Dwight Gayle who looks set to join Fulham on loan.

Le Fondre to link up with Ojo?

Alongside Le Fondre Wolves are expected to bring in Liverpool winger Sheyji Ojo, the youngster who scored the winner in the clubs 2-1 victory over Sky Bet League One side Swindon Town on Sunday is been allowed to go out on loan by manager Brendan Rodgers to gain some valuable first-team experience.

The 18-year-old is highly regarded at Anfield and was even named as a substitute on two separate occasions last season however he is unlikely to break into the first-team this campaign.

He impressed on loan last season at newly relegated Wigan Athletic where he made an impression during his 11 appearances at the DW Stadium.

He was been sought after by a number of Championship clubs, but it does seem that Wolves have won the race with Jackett looking to fill the space left by Bakary Sako.
