Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe admitted in the press-conference prior to their home game against giants Tottenham Hotspur, that although the Cherries have had experiences playing Mauricio Pochettino's side, but have learnt their lessons well enough.
The men from South England entertain a Tottenham side, which is unbeaten in the league and have conceded only four goals, which the lowest tally for any first division side right now. Spurs are currently third in table and they will look to get back to winning ways after draws at the Hawthorns and against Bayer Leverkusen at the BayArena.
"We know what to do"
The Cherries were brushed aside twice by a dominant Tottenham side last season, as Howe's men lost 5-1 at Vitality Stadium and 3-0 at White Hart Lane. But Howe's is confident that his men have learnt their lessons from the drubbings.
The 38-year-old was full of praise for Pochettino's impressive Spurs: “Tottenham haven’t been beaten or conceded a goal from open play in the league this season, so they’re certainly in good form. For me, last season they, along with Manchester City, were the strongest side we faced."
"We had two very tough games against Spurs last season, but we’ve definitely learnt from those experiences," said Howe, focusing on how his side has improved since playing its first full season in the Premier League.
Howe hailed Tottenham as "title contenders" and praised his counterpart Mauricio Pochettino as being "an outstanding manager", who is "up there among the very best."
The Cherries with some momentum
Unbeaten in the last four games in all competitions, the ever improving Bournemouth grabbed their most impressive win in recent times last week as they trounced Hull City by a 6-1 scoreline.
Junior Stanislas' impressive brace inspired them to their second win in three Premier League games, two games after they had notched up a shock 1-0 win over Ronald Koeman's Everton.
