Cardiff City have today announced the signing of right back, John Brayford, for a fee of £1.5 million.
Brayford, formally of Derby County has signed a four year deal with the Cardiff, and whilst speaking to the club's website, he stated: ""When I heard Cardiff were interested in signing me then I was obviously very interested, especially at the prospect of playing in the Premier League and testing myself at the highest level. Derby will always be a special club to me, but this was an opportunity I couldn't ignore."
The 25 year old had a successful stint at Pride Park with The Rams, and was a regular in their starting line up last season. Brayford has also played for Burton Albion and Crewe Alexandra.
As well as the signing of Brayford, Cardiff City are also looking to secure the services of Etienne Capoue. Cardiff have had a bid of £8.6 million plus performance related bonuses for Capoue reportedly accepted by Toulouse.
